  1. So my collection has gotten big enough I'd like a decent sized, strong cabinet to store it all in. Preferably with lockable doors with additional storage in the doors. Not interested in wall hangings because I don't want to display everything for a visitor/neighbour to accidentally spot and get spooked by. A perforated tool cabinet looked like an interesting bet but veeerry expensive. https://www.stepandstore.co.uk/shop/storage/cabinets/euro-cabinet-system/tall-euro-cabinet-system/easy-order-full-tool-back-panel-euro-cabinet/ Anyone got any good ideas for strong, space efficient, discreet storage?
  2. A helpful hint for those looking to order that I've just figured out. If it says "1 in stock" or however many they have under the picture on the product page, it means they've actually got it ready to ship. If it doesn't have anything under the photo it means they're selling them on backorder which I think is the practice that really causes the vast majority of issues people have with this retailer. I think they really shoot themselves in the foot selling stock they haven't received yet without telling you as much because it makes them seem untrustworthy. I think they'd find if they just said "available on backorder" people would still order for the good prices but have far greater patience when it takes an unspecified time to arrive. Airsoft World also sell on backorder with flexible estimates but by and large they have relatively good reviews because you are made fully aware of the conditions of sale.
  3. 12% off stuff that isn't discounted on Gunfire, https://gunfire.com/ Code: GF-STRETCH-204 Code comes from Super Mega Tactical Airsoft News, dunno when the expiry is.
  4. I've missed something, what's the FOW?
  5. I realise this was posted a while ago but I'll respond anyway. I sent mine back immediately on arrival. It was visibly not square, didn't fill the hop window, and was covered in flash. Very poorly produced 3D print with no QC. I got mine on the day of release though so maybe they've gotten better.
  6. I'm new to GBBRs, with AEGs I normally just go softer because I've not had wear issues and you get more lift with less pressure. However my guess would be that softer rubbers are more affected by the temperature drop from the gas. Would I be right in guessing I should go as hard as possible for consistent hop?
  7. G&G F2000 for £190, https://www.defconairsoft.co.uk/product/gg-aeg-rifle-fs2000-tactical-fn-herstal-licensed/ Integrated scope version for £200, https://www.defconairsoft.co.uk/product/gg-aeg-rifle-fs2000-fn-herstal-licensed/
  8. I've been using Geoffs Bio BBs more or less since I started airsoft which has included long breaks and using BBs that were several months old and I've never had this problem. In fact I've never had a jam on Geoffs, period.
  9. TaiwanGun's got it but delivery fees are killers and they're not as cheap as, say, Bullseye Country Sport who stock it but are out. https://www.taiwangun.com/mosfet-wires/mosfet-perun-v2-optical-back-wired-perun?q=Perun+op&campaign-id=14 You could also give contacting Perun directly a punt, they responded in a day last time I emailed them.
  10. I've got a repro B11 on my CM.045. I had to shim the block that goes into the receiver as well as that retention plate thing that presses against the front of the lower handguard. Most notably though I had to Dremel the tops of the bits that slot into the front handguard retention thing. Not plug and play but about half an hour's work all in and there's no wobble at all. You might not be super happy with the results though because I found I had to decide between an unusually large gap between upper and lower handguard or the bottom of the lower handguard not lining up with the bottom of the receiver. I think the end result looks good but if you stare at it you'll notice the gap. I can't tell you if it's because I got a repro.
  11. For nice trigger response but sensible ROF I would suggest standard 18:1 gearing, 11.1V lipo, optical MOSFET with precocking. I like the Perun one in my AK74SU. Does about 22 RPS but retains a snappy semi aided by a short light trigger pull.
  12. Decent looking Nuprol Delta: Nomad Alpha for £120 on there. Seems a decent price for aluminium receiver, QC spring, microswitch and functional bolt release. Also an S&T TAR21 for £190.
  13. Really good idea with the in ear moulds, I have some of the heat mouldable plastic lying around from a previous project. What did you do to get a hole running through? Drill it or put something in it to keep it open? Also did you find the Racals could self tap their thread or did you need to mould them in too?
  14. My regular site is doing a deal every day during lockdown, could be worth keeping eyes on. I wouldn't buy Raven for any amount of money but there's a limit to how wrong you can go with a G18C for £68 (today's deal), https://www.battleairsoft.co.uk/deal-of-the-day
  15. 10% off at BZTactical for orders over £100 with code HALLOWEEN until the end of the weekend. https://www.bztactical.co.uk/ Personally used it to get their ASG MP9 A1 which I reckon is a good deal because it's a low power version. Normally you need to shell out another £50 for a CQB bolt to make these skirmishable.

What kind of stock is that? Does it fold? Do you have the original one?
  17. You're right, it doesn't. In future, if any business tries this with you point out that the delivery contract is between the seller and the courier; it's their responsibility to ensure it arrives not yours.
  18. It is; incidentally I found that the thing that quietened my A2 down the most was the Rapax spring. Don't particularly understand why, it just did. Note it wasn't loud to begin with but now it's just a tiny pop.
  19. No problems with it yet but I've only used it about 4 games. Heads up though you do need a file a bit off the Perun so it doesn't get caught on the sector gear so it's not plug and play. The process is described in the manual; not difficult but probably not a job for someone that isn't confident to mess inside an AEG.
  20. I got one with mine, it was under all the foam. FYI you can get a Perun V3 optical mosfet for not much more than the Warfet. Really recommend it as it takes a great deal of travel out of the trigger and comes with precock; makes for great semi-response.
  21. I bought a set but returned it without using it. It's a 3D printed part, both the nubs I was sent were poorly finished. Lots of flash and neither of them were actually square. It's possible it doesn't matter and they would've worked fine but I've had bad experiences with 3D printed nubs before because the tolerances are generally awful. They're cheap though so you could give it a shot, I just wasn't willing to waste another game day on a shoddily made 3D printed nub. One dude on Facebook who had a build from Longbow including the chub nub had nothing but good things to say about it. Something worth noting is it's just a flathop nub so you could just try buying an after market one like Modify or maybe even making one. Don't believe the stuff about the chub nub perfectly filling the window though, from what I saw there's no way the tolerances are good enough they can guarantee that.
  22. That's what I'd advise; I think the problem with R-hoppish rubbers is that they present a flat edge to the BBs when lowered far enough into the barrel. The limit stops being how much back spin the mound can apply but how deep it can go into the window before the BB smacks into the wall. Something I've been meaning to try on an AEG I've got a similar problem with (Maple Leaf bucking) is to cut a little slope into the front of the mound to see if this helps prevent the pinch jams by removing the wall.
  23. Quick summary, probably all mentioned already but w/e: - Sport has simple barrel with spacers and a 24mm thread, Covert has a fancy one that doesn't need spacers and a 14mm thread with a muzzle break with a 24mm thread on it. - Sport has a plastic handguard. - Sport doesn't have a thrust bearing on the spring guide. - Sport comes with the new plastic mag (plastic and metal mags are compatible with all SRSes). The Silverback website has downloadable part diagrams for the Sport and Covert you can see these differences with. I own an A2 Sport with the G-Spec barrel.
  24. Sport supports the same magazines as Covert. PSA by the way, the HTi long followers fit the plastic magazines and feed to the last BB. It also prevents the bolt from locking forward when you're empty which I find very useful. If you're the sort to hulk the bolt forward you run the risk of chopping the follower so try at your own risk.
  25. If you need it in a hurry, call and cancel. They're routinely dishonest with delivery schedules.
