    Turns out my piston head shook itself loose inside the gearbox.

     

    Now there's a metric fuckton of thread lock in there.

    Try and come out now, twat!

      it can happen.

       

      i have on a couple of occasions managed to forget to actually bolt the piston head to the piston. it's surprising they can actually run for a few shots in that state :P

      Yeah, mine would have ran too if the damn piston head didn't plug the cylinder head :P

       

      Just need to find a pinion grub screw now, since mine broke free from the litre of threadlock I used and got lost somewhere (not inside the gearbox, thank God)
