  1. Tfw your local retailer is doing R-Hop installs (just fitting the patch and swapping rubber and tensioner) for €85.

      the only real benefit i can see to the r-hop over a default unit like ml is the ability to have a softer compound on the contact patch and a harder one for the feedlips for a high fps build.

       

      but even then at higher fps you don't need as much spin anyway.

       

      just saves so much hassle dropping a pre-made bucking in and knowing it's going to be positioned and shaped just right.

      At the current state, R-Hops are just a way for techs to make some extra money. A lot of money in my tech's case.

      But I am pretty sure only a handful of people will get r-hops installed, as everyone plays on .2s and the retailer doesn't stock bbs heavier than 0.25g anyway, so the service makes no sense.

       

      I still keep my range and consistency advantage :D

      same here, although i do sometimes wonder if i should really be preaching the benefits of heavier ammo quite so much, don't want the playing field too even......
