  1. FMA Maritime Fast helmet (really surprised about how good it is.) Large Kombat Molle pouch for my Belt kit and an olive Surplus windbreaker.
  2. Gents, Things like this make me smile. The press have made a good job of convincing us all we will end up in prison if protect ourselves or others. Its crap. Common law allows for you to use as much force as YOU deem reasonable at the time, to defend yourself or another. That reasonableness can be on a mistaken belief. For example you thought he had a knife and beat him with a handy metal sporting bat, but in fact it was a set of keys he had. Things like size, number of bad guys or the fact your kids are upstairs and you are the last line of defence all add up to increase what you deem reasonable. Basically, you can do what you think was necessary. If that means you beat them till they are unconscious and no longer a threat as you felt that was the only option you had, then that is a defence. Police Officers regularly use this to defend their actions when utilising defensive skills (or even having fatally shot someone.) Yes you may be interviewed under caution or worse case be arrested. But how many cases have actually gone to court in recent years since the law changed? You can legally posses things like bats etc at home, they only become offensive weapons if you take them outside. Obviously prohibited articles like CS Gas or Tasers are illegal even in your house. But more importantly, why would you grab your airsoft gun to confront someone breaking into your home? A bluff should only be an option when its the only option. Other than that I'd be grabbing for a knife in the kitchen, a bat, or as a last resort his neck! Don't be afraid to defend yourselves or your families. CBH
  3. WAS Pathfinder Chest Rig, Covert plate carrier and single point sling in multicam. All on the UKTactical sale.
  4. One thing to consider is what your going to use your pistol for. Sounds like a silly question but bare with me. If you are planning to use it as a back up to switch to quickly, when you enter tight spots, or when your primary goes empty or malfunctions you may want to rethink the 1911/Hi Capa. And thats coming from someone who owns one and loves it dearly. They are carried cocked and locked, hammer back safety on. But I cant count the number of times I drew it on the hurry up and forgot to release the safety. So I filed the hammer so I could carry it loaded with the safety off and the hammer down, thinking I'd pull the hammer back as I drew it. Nope, still didn't happen. So now my back up is a Glock 17. The TM Hi Capa comes out for specific CQB games as there isn't anything to touch it. I just can't draw and engage with it as quickly as a pistol with no manual safety. CBH
  5. If you want to join the multitude down my way its multicam. Not the most effective woodland camo. I on the other hand annoy the crap out of them by wearing a mishmash of stuff that does the best job. I rock with olive green bottoms, pouches and a ATACs FG vest. The bottoms are Jack Pyke beaters trousers and are indestructible and comfy. I have a nice pair of Scarpa Ranger GTX boots that have stood the test of time. If I need a coat I have an olive green Karrimor SF Trojan jacket or a coyote Karrimor SF Trojan fleece. I do wear a multi cam head over and jungle hat as well and the ubiquitous green shamag to protect the neck. And if I need to disappear I use a realtree leafy poncho. Works a treat! But to be honest if you stick to olives, beiges, light greys etc your pretty much set up. And its not often you stay still long enough anyway. Movement is the biggest giveaway when your hiding. For darkness olives and greys are your friend. Helps you blend in by not casting a silhouette. Black and dark browns are not, for that reason. CBH
  6. Welcome to the Forum. I have one of the older APS rifles, a PR302. I got it cheap over a year ago and wasn't expecting much but it has run flawlessly. I run it with an 8.4v 1600 battery pack which provides an adequate shooting speed and lasts all day without any problems. If your running a Rear wired battery a nunchuck type will fit in your stock rather than one in the buffer tube. Prevent the issue of it not fitting. The one thing I did change on mine was the Electric Blow Back. I swapped it for a non blow back plate as the EBB spring kept snapping as it wasn't really up to the task. Not sure if this improved on the newer models. I use .20g BBs with mine and the range is more than adequate. I have had no problems with it although I have serviced the gearbox by cleaning out the masses of grease in it from the factory (this improved performance) and my daughters trigger unit on her APS needed re soldering as the original factory job was a bit shoddy and the wiring came free. For a gun that I was only expecting to use for a few months, it has seen some hard service and has performed really well. So much so that I am only now thinking of replacing it as my primary with a PTS RM4. It will still stay in my gun bag as my spare. Hope that helps.
