How long does it usually take for the UKARA to come through? I put my form in 28th December and told should be about a week but no joy yet. There's £300 in my bank straining to get out.

I used planet Eclipse tank covers for years, paintball but made of neoprene so keeps the tank a little warmer too. A Hpa tank doesn't need protection except from idiots. I've seen 2 tanks go boom in dramatic ways. One was due to a bad superman dive where he managed to snap the reg off and the tank shot off at speed. The netting caught it till it finished venting. The 2nd involved filling, prat had put oil on the fill nipped thread to fix a leak and then filled the tank. This was back when we still filled to 4500 psi. A bang followed by a 5 ft jet of flame and the tank buried at least a foot into the ground. So no bb's won't hurt it but make sure however you carry it it's secure.

All ready for the cutter. Just used a double uv filter Sunday. Got hit more with the camera than when using the gun but nothing direct. Going to make a few trial acrylic lens protectors out of different thicknesses and get one of the 500fps snipers to hit them point blank. Also trying to find a blue armour plate carrier UN colour. Players seem to find hi viz attractive thinking blue might make me stand out as a camera man.

I don't run anywhere if it can be helped, i'll just stand around looking cool ;-), handily the barrel sticks out the bottom of the holster and it certainly isn't quick draw as it's so tight. I expect it may loosen with use and by then I might have found a proper one.

Hmm might try that as well if I ever manage to sell the air rifle. The deagle might be a bit of a monster to cart around all day, manage to fit it in a £10 universal holster but I've had to botch the keeper strap. Might try getting the missus to sew some bungee on there instead.

Now that is very handy. Think I might have a fibre optic front post somewhere if I can bodge fit it. Bit for acrylic carving may be in order.

Well overtime came through early and there was a TM Desert Eagle Hard Kick with 3 gas tight mags going on Facebook for £100 close to me......so I bought it. One word describes it.....BEAST

I read on G&G's catalog it uses gas for the blowback so where does that come from. Don't think it's the mag because that's a high cap. I'm probably confused somewhere because I found the catalog link and got all excitable after that. Anyway UKARA stamp 3 comes just after xmas and the paintball sale is going alright so far so shopping.

Quick test of sticking the sheet to the front of the shade results in no apparent effect on focus or image quality so once I can find my jigsaw i'll cut a circle

Same question, found anything that works well? I got a 300mm Sigma Lens on a Canon Eos 600D which has survived direct paintball hits and only required 3 hours cleaning!!! Might try that mesh but I also have some 5mm clear perspex sheet that i'll experiment with 1st. HiViz = Big target

Good bunch there, it's a bit soggy in places so waterproof boots recommended. Might be down taking photo's at some point. See how my week goes.

Hi Airsoft people, greetings from Tramples, new to this forum but not to airsoft, well complicated really. History would be something like this. 2004 - 2014 Tournament Paintball player No Limit Bridgend Back Centre somewhere in 2010 3 hire days Airsofting at Roves Farm in Swindon, got 3 stamps but never got the UKARA due to paintball commitments also back in 2010 had chinese MP5 shooting somewhere around 450fps!!!!! so sold that to fund more paint Currently 2 Hire days at the Trail in Swindon next one and will get the UKARA this time Reason for going back to airsoft.....too fat for paintball.....also knees won't let me slide into anything anymore without quite a lot of pain, back goes from carrying all that paint and it's so much cheaper. Shopping/Selling question....I have Paintball gear to sell but would look at trading for Airsoft gear once UKARA registered, does that happen here? Otherwise would move all the paintball stuff on those specific forums. Also I have an Airgun that hasn't had as much use since I moved to Swindon, anyone know a good place to sell that? PS I also used to do a lot of photography, the sort where you wear a high vis vest and everyone tries to shoot your camera because a lens that big looks like a threat. Anyone have experience of protecting your optics from BB's without the world going blurry?
