@Mos, I know exactly what you were getting at and my rebutle is the same... Do you think a 35rps aeg hurts that much more than any other aeg?. I'm not trying to be rude and apologies for my earlier "abused" comment... didn't know you were only a lad. My point is as long as people play legitimately and by the rules, rof does not have a bearing on safety. If they don't play by the rules high rof only increases risks slightly but not enough that sites should put limits on rof. High FPS and overkill are by far the worst out of the bunch.

And me shooting you across the back of your knee caps as fast as I possibly can in semi-auto is going hurt that much less? I haven't been playing airsoft long but long enough to know that marksmanship is never a strong suit for skirmishers. Assault rifles were never designed to be used by people wearing mesh masks and googles... accuracy will not be at it's best. High FPS is harmful. Shooting someone at point blank range is harmful. Let me shoot you twice with a 400FPS DMR then a shot burst with a TM high cycle and you tell which one hurts more.

Do you really think a 35rps aeg is going hurt someome that much more than any other aeg??? Really? Are you playing in your underwear or has someone priviously abused you with a TM High Cycle? Have you ever played paintball?
-
Haha... I reckon you might.

You and me both mate but unfortunately this world is full of tw@ts. Limiting rof and auto use won't make them any less tw@tish... they will just overkill you a little slower

There is nothing wrong with the ROF we currently have in airsoft. If you don't dress properly for airsoft you cannot really complain about being shot on auto. If some wants 35rps so what, let them have fun. This is not the military FFS and even if it was, are you gonna complain that your enemy has high rof assualt rifles while you're on semi??? WTF? I could care less what rof anyone uses because I dress properly for airsoft. Overkill can be done using both semi and auto. Man up you little girls. Let people have their fun.

It was rate of fire that was the problem. Precocking made little difference on auto and multi-shot bursts.

Ok, so below are pictures of what I have done to accommodate the small, hard case 50C lipo battery. Like I said before, it isn't the prettiest but I think it looks better than using a battery bag etc. There was a bit of trial and error and improvisation so in hindsight it could have been better modified; if I get my hands on another stock, it definitely will be.

ROFL!

Well worth it!

Yeah, 28th is fully booked but if they are staying over they will have a good chance of getting a slot on the day.

Lol I drive 55 miles to work at least 3 times a week! It's the driving to and from that kills me. Reading is 45 miles from me... besides, I've got to work that night anyway.

Just the 27th dude.
-
It should be a good day... it's been booked out for a good while now.
-
Too late for me, fully booked, so going the 18th (Thursday night).

I've done some drilling, grinding and cutting :-). It isn't the prettiest but it's far from ugly and it's clean... well most of it. Not posting any pictures yet, having a go with it tomorrow at Bunker 51 to see how it stands up to a skirmish. If all is well then I will post pics... if not then it's back to the drawing board. One thing I will say, Griptite velcro is unbelievably strong stuff. Definitely stronger than the "heavy duty" sticky tape it's attached to! Performance wise, this 2000mah 50C battery powers my setup to it's max potential so it's mission accomplished as far as performance is concerned.

Scubba Steve!

Will "It" be making an appearance on the 27th proffrink?

I agree with you on the above, however, I have yet to blow a lipo up :-). I doubt you will experience much difference above 30C as your motor will have a limit of amps it can draw from 7.4v. A good thing you have pointed out is there will be differences with setups, etc. If your gun is stock I would stick with 25C as there is nothing to buffer or smooth the rps and you will most likely get over-run as you have experienced. Most mosfets will brake the motor where needed. Also agree that "25C - 50C" is marketing malarky. Never trusted it and never will. Always go with a "constant" spec rather than a varied one.
-
This one is 50C constant. I use a lot of Vampire Racing products for my RC cars and they are very much a performance brand. I have 6 other Vampire batteries and trust the brand as I have used them for years. I just found out over the weekend they made this battery for micro RC cars. It's always good to have a battery rated at least 2 times higer than the amperage you require (at least in RC it is)... especially when running an electronic controller/mosfet. I would think this will benefit airsoft applications as well.
-
I normally run 20C but after having the spectre installed and the motor upgraded the 20C seems to not be enough. I'm estimating the mosfet and motor pulling about 30amps and my 20C batteries were only able to handle about 20amps constant. When using my larger RC batteries versus my 20C airsoft batteries the difference is very noticeable. ROF and trigger response is quicker. I haven't tried this 2000mah one yet but it should have the same results as the larger RC batteries, being that it can handle three times the amount of amps required.
-
I've found a solution. The battery will be external but is small enough to fit into a bottom corner of the stock, side saddling the adjustment latch. It sould be barely noticable when I'm finished with it. http://www.vampire-racing.com/2000mah-50c-74v-118-micro-pack-lipo I know there are some Turnigy airsoft batteries that are listed as 25C-50C but I've never had luck with Turnigy and I don't trust their specs.

Ok, sounds good. Making a trip to Bunker 51 next week and have a couple of their regulars interested. Will let you know by next weekend.
