  1. Looked into going full DMR but wanted more flexibility. I've recently been looking at the Beretta ARX 160 Elite... Something with decent range and fps but flexible. The realistic fps would be 370-390 or as close to 400 as possible. Also wanted the full assault rifle look. A full on outdoor only AEG.
  2. @M_P, No, I'm very happy with the TM. Wish they had a bit more kick to them is all and wanted to get another rifle for an outdoor loadout etc. I've also been told many times its best to leave TM internals stock as they don't like being fiddled with. Thought it would be easier and better to have one rifle for CQB and one for outdoors. The 450fps was just an example. Looking to realistically get 370-390fps and medium to long range. Almost a DMR but not quite a DMR in terms of rifle length etc.
  3. @Lozart, haven't tried the TM outdoors yet but have heard the samething you just stated. Was told heavier bb and adjusted hop-up would be just fine. @M_P, didn't say anything about struggling. Is there really no difference between 300fps vs 450fps in terms of performance and range? Looking for an excuse to buy another AEG really.
  4. I already have a TM HK416 I use for CQB and I'm looking to get something with longer range and higher fps for outdoors. Not on a budget but will not spend £1K+ on any non-firearm. In terms of quality and outdoor performance what are the top AEGs out there (other than TM)? Also, is it worth buying an AEG with good externals then fully modify the internals instead?
  5. They are putting a hold on orders until Jan 5th but send them a message on their FB page... I got a reply today.
  6. Thanks Ian. I've gone with a £16 clone T6 off ebay for now as I cannot yet make up my mind on the branded torches. Went for one without all the frills, not a fan of 5+ mode torches. Will see how I get on with it and decide if a proper tactical torch is really needed.
  7. HW Holsters does custom kydex... http://www.hwholsters.co.uk/
  8. Thanks. Will have a look. What about Klarus brand? XT11, XT12 or RS11?
  9. Thanks. I didn't really want to spend more than £50-£60 on a torch. I know the Clulite models don't have any extra features, ie strobing, focusing etc but I know and trust the brand. Are there any other good options in that price range or maybe up to £70 with mount?
  10. I am undecided regarding the type of tactical lighting I should use with my aeg. Should I use a torch type or a spot light type? The two I am undecided with are both Clulite brand lights; The torch is a bit smaller and is 1000 lumens: http://clulite.cluson.co.uk/led-torches/506-ml1000.html The spotter is a bit larger, has a longer range but less light spread: http://clulite.cluson.co.uk/led-torches/384-pro-spot-torch.html The big differences between the two is range and light spread. The torch will light an entire room where as the spotter will... well... spot. It will be used for cqb mostly in Bunker51 and Reading Mall type skirmishes. I am new to airsoft and have yet to use any tactical light and wanted to get some advice on which type is best. Here is also a youtube video comparing the two: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=K1943JU-Y_o Thanks for reading.
  11. Thanks for the welcome. Yeah, it was Absolute I was referring to. I take it they aren't all that good? I've just learnt about The Mall yesterday actually... looks promising. Will check out the other two you mentioned as well.
  12. Cool, I visit family in Kings Langley quite often. Where is the "School" located? Do they have a website?
  13. Bunker 51 in London until I get my UKARA membership but will probably be mainly going to the sites in Maidenhead and Reading after that... don't know of others close to Watford.
  14. I used Wolf for my first purchases and they seemed pretty standard to me. No problems with service or getting info regarding UKARA membership etc. On the first visit I was there for 2 hours and if I got any dirty looks I didn't notice any. Seemed pretty helpful to me. Hopefully it stays that way as they will have my guns for 2 months. I think a lot of these specialty type stores will have their problems with customer service as most people who work there will be airsoft enthusiast rather than sales clerks or customer service reps.
  15. Hello all. Just getting into Airsoft, doing my first skirmish next weekend, looking forward to learning as much as possible from this forum. Already purchased my primary and secondary weapons, HK416D Devgru and Beretta PX4 (both Marui). So sad having to wait 2 months before I can bring them home... :-(
