This stream auto-updates

  2. I can really get that from a modern prospective. One reason I only post Airsoft content on my Airsoft Instagram that has no connection to my main main socials. (Other than my photography one tagged in it) And Facebook I don't even use anymore so that doesn't worry me. But fully understand that concern. The full auto players are always annoying when they only use full auto even at 5m engagement distance. Like come on man over kill. But then again I'm a GBBR player so full auto is a rare thing for me. Suppose to some I may fall into a cringe as I use real caps and only engage when I can clearly see the enemy.
  3. For me, the objective of Airsoft is to win, and I do my best to win while playing fair. The *aim*, is to have fun doing so. It's a balancing act IMO. On the one hand, going all drill sergeant at your team and getting up in people's faces over the results is bad in any hobby. On the other, you kinda ideally want your team to be energised and giving it a good go. A very small minority of players seem to think trying at all is a bit cringe, lmao. I find it's fun to try and gin up folks for a push, or to hold a spot. Most people want to get stuck in but get a bit lost or a bit overwhelmed, so giving them a job tends to work. If they're hiding behind a tree all game as the action moves away from them, a gentle nudge to come along with a few others seems to work. Especially if you remind them why they're there. That's way to cool a gun to not come push up with us, you wanna cover our flank while we try and go straight in?
  4. sorry to hear mate , i find the game offers me a distraction at least

  7. I tend to play on the "under 18's" kids type days with my boys and the ultimate cringe is the guy we refer to as "full auto dad" (or FAD for short). His boy is great, good player, get stuck right in, but dad has to keep yelling at him to do this, and do that, raar raar etc, the kids having a blast and completely ignoring his dad. Heard him telling the kid at lunch to move like this and shoot like this. Dad however runs around like a speed laced chicken, blasting everyone with full auto (hence the name). Once he cornered my boy and from about 2 meters, lit him up, full auto and really upset him. We had a quick word and that was it, FAD was on a hate offensive for me..... I mean, grow up, we're just LARPing with plastic guns ffs.

Make: HAO Accessory: Replica Surefire 556RC and 4 prong flash hider Condition: Used, light wear as shown in photos. Splits/Swaps/Part Exchange: N/N/N Price/Payment: £200 Pictures: Attached This is the full steel, heavy weight version of the HAO 556RC, which was classed as the hard core version. These are no longer available. Alleged to be able to withstand genuine 5.56mm pressures and offer actual sound suppression, although I’ve never tested this. These don’t come with a flash hider, but this will be supplied with a HAO full steel, 4 prong flash hider as the suppressor is not compatible with all makes of airsoft flash hiders.

  13. Even worse when they expect others to call them by said rank. Yes I've seen this happen. Said bellend wasn't happy when we obliged but added a few colourful words to the end
  14. Reminds me of a certain Scottish based Walt we both know.....
  15. Everything. You're all a bunch of cringy buggers and you know it😁 Re the photos on social media, blurring out your face is pretty pointless to me. If a prospective employer is seeing them on your profile then it's going to be pretty obvious it's you whether faces are visible or not. Either don't post them or at least sort out your security settings so any random Tom Dick or Harry can't see them. One thing I find properly cringeworthy are the excuses people come out with when losing. No they're not cheating and no they don't have more players, you just got out played. Rather than whining, acknowledge that they did well and learn from it. I suppose this is part of the winning is everything mentally which has started to creep into the game and I just don't get as some of the best games I've had have when I'm on the receiving end of an arse kicking

  19. This actually happened. Guy behind tree: "Push up lads!" 2 minutes later: Guy still behind tree: "PUSH UP LADS LETS SEE SOME AGGRESSION - SECTION ATTACK NOW!" 2 minutes later - he grabs a bunch of new players after trying to rope me in to it all and proceeds to explain to them a rough section attack. He then watches them try it and all get hit and then goes back to the tree. ENDEX Guy still behind tree: "We lost because we didn't push up."
  20. I agree with this....and I don't. In these enlightened times, prospective employers WILL scour your social media footprint to see if you align with their perception of what a good candidate is (and to make sure nothing is going to bite them in the arse later down the line). Blurring out your face in photos can be an attempt to stop playing a game that quite a lot of people might think is a bit... odd, interfering with your job prospects. If they're doing it to try and be "more ally", then yeah, cringe as fuck.
  21. I don't get it either, the 11.1 works on all my other rifs just not the aks-74u. I have the charger in pic, had it a couple of years with no issues. Charges all my other lipos, only difference is my 11.1 is li-ion and not lipo like all my others. It can't be a connector as the 11.1 works in my other rifs and the 7.4 lipos work on the aks-74u. If never had a issue like it. It makes no sense at all. Maybe it'll sort its self when I put a mosfet in or buy a slim 11.1 lipo.
  22. Personally, I'd skip the Warfet and go straight to an Aster. That said, I believe you can do what you are suggesting. The Aster choice is more based on the modern mosfets being better able to handle brushless motors than the older ones like the Warfet.
  23. My only cringe is players who take our hobby too seriously, I get the excitment of playing to win but it's airsoft not life or death. I like to see groups all kitted up in a milsim kind of way whether it's WWII Wehrmacht, GI Joe's, British army etc, etc, etc... but it's the players who try herding cats & lose their shit when it doesn't work that make me cringe most.
  24. Cheers for the advice mate, will order a warfet and try throw that in, the x-asr has motor + and - as well as a blue wire from the trigger contact, all housed in the buffer tube. In theory I can just cut off the x-asr and put the warfet in its place no? Wiring seems to be the same?
  25. How freely a motor spins is directly related to the strength of the magnets used to make it. If it spins freely then the magnets are weak and the motor will be shit. Ergo the Solink feeling clunky as it turns is, in fact, a sign of a better motor. Having changed the motors in a couple of Specna guns I can attest that they are, in fact, weak as shit. Also, the X-ASR MOSFET is rubbish. I also very much doubt the X-ASR can deal with a brushless motor. Fuck it off and put a decent unit in instead.
  26. Hey dude from your prospective I can fully understand why you do what you do. No point making yourself ill. Well done on playing and doing what you do. So for you it's definitely not a cringe moment. Agree with the players who ridicule new or returning players because they haven't paid 1000s on guns and equipment. We all have our budgets and not everyone can buy expensive stuff. People forget some of these might be on an average wage and don't have the disposable income that others do, your life and wellbeing away from Airsoft comes first so can make the difference if it means paying the rent/mortgage or buying a new RIF and modding it.
  27. You're so cringe...... Actually, that sounds like a really hard way to live - well done for still attending even with the struggles you have.
