In my research I found a couple of upgraded hop up options but they are very limited. I still have the standard LCT rotary one in my gun with the nub, rubber and barrel change it shoots very consistently so I haven't spent a lot of time looking into the options as I don't think it needs it (for now). The Gearbox is a standard type 2 and is available for around £130 new (in the UK). The newer V2 LCT gearbox has a quick change spring which is different to the earlier gearbox in my gun. They take long shaft motors. I changed mine to the brushless Warhead base motor as the standard one was getting very warm with the M130 spring. It also gives it a snappier trigger response, I might go to a Gate Aster at some point in the future as the optical trigger is so quick and adjustable. If you get the fixed stock they have plenty of battery space and can run on 7.4 or 11.1 Lipo/Lion batteries. As standard I did OK with the 7.4 but the bigger spring really needs the 11.1. Only other things to add are It's very long and heavy I know I said this before but don't underestimate it. I wanted a chunky DMR so it works for me but a few others I have spoken to bought them to use a 1.3J automatic rifle and you really have to want one to carry the thing, try and handle one before you buy. Picture attached to compare it to my MP5 and MP5K. The mid cap mags don't feed well, there are guides to modify them but I went straight to high caps which work perfectly (apart from the battle rattle) Make sure you insert the mag properly into the gun, they are like the AK where you need to clip the front in and rock it back into the mag well. I've thought I got the mag in a couple of times but its dropped out when I started running.

Any ideas what's required to run a one off site?
1st commando replied to Mtemprell's topic in General Discussion
If you aren't running as a commercial venture and are on private land and not charging money you don't actually "need" any of that. However informing your local police station may be a good idea in case people report the arrival of camo wearing guys in the area -

Bio bbs did have a reputation for being a bit crap but this is a legacy from years ago and they're alot better now with more sites are insisting only bio bbs are used. Whether or not they're really that biodegradable is another question for another time. Stick to reputable brands and you should be fine.

Thanks for the welcome. I can see it's going to be an addictive and expensive hobby... I've a ton of questions, but I'll look thru the old posts before I post much as they've probably already been asked already a million times. The bio ammo, are they any good? I've ordered some as I have access to some land for my airguns but it's shared with livestock and I don't want to cause them any harm. Rick

Anyone have experience with BunkerKings CMD full face mask?
Cannonfodder replied to Chai.'s topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
It looks like a generic paintball mask so it'll do the job. I'd be very surprised if bbs could fit through those slits. The only issue I can see with it is getting a decent cheek weld on your gun to be able to use your sights -

You've made a grand total of 5 posts in 6 years which (apart from this childish rant) are all asking about a very specific gun which not many people own or have any experience with, so it's not really surprising nobody replied. I'm sure you'd be whining just as much if you were given info that was wrong. Try interacting with the forum a bit more rather than making posts like this which, tbh, just make you look like an entitled little shit. As for the bit about needing to be a higher rank to post, there's nowhere here where a minimum post count is needed to access so that's bullshit. If you really think this forum is so bad then just leave. Nobody is forcing you to use it and you're not a train so there's no need to announce your departure. Not that you'll be missed.

Does anyone here know what steps are required to run a private game on private land? I know the basics like making sure I have liability insurance that covers Airsoft. Restricting public access to the land and providing adequate protection around the site to prevent stray bbs. I am also a fully trained first aider so this is covered. Risk assessment will be carried out before hand and so on. I ask as me and a few friends want to organise a one of land on some private land. I have a farmer friend who has kindly offered us to use his unused barn area. It's fully private land with full land owners permission and from my air rifle days I know this is considered ok but not sure for Airsoft and I want to organise it properly as some of my friends might invite their friends so I want to be covered legally incase of any complaints or issues.

As one of the users who replied to your original topic, I have to agree with Austeyr. The A&K SVD isn't widely used or known at the best of times. Followed up by adding in the CO2 System which as I previously stated, will push it well over any skirmishable limits only makes it even less popular for UK players. If you've used or had questions on almost any other platform in that time then I'm sure you would have been able to find help and knowledge, but being limited to one aging and uncommon platform over multiple years is just like playing on hard mode, unfortunately! For such a niche topic, and as much of a cesspool as it is; Reddit might be a better place to find knowledge on something like the CO2 SVD System. *Edit Looking back, I saw you mentioned buying the mancraft PDIK kit. Did you not ever install that or get it running? It could have been worthwhile to update people on your work if so; I'm sure the PDIK would have produced better results than the CO2 kit, and you could share your results with others here.

Sorry you feel that way but as Austeyr said, you need to engage yourself beyond throwing a hissy fit because you didn't get a reply. I like to think I'm quite well versed on the P90 AEG platform and am happy to offer advice or talk about my own experience with rebuilding gearboxes, choosing replacement parts or upgrades, fitting mosfets, etc. I'm getting more clued up on the MWS platform and am happy to share knowledge and experience, even with those way more knowledgeable than me. Unfortunately, with the SVD platform, I'm neither qualified nor competent to offer any advice on it, let alone on aftermarket parts, so I stay out of that lane. Replying with "sorry, I don't know" helps nobody. I'd imagine that reason was prevalent among others who say your other posts this year and didn't reply. Just because people don't reply to a topic, it doesn't mean there's a cult, nor does it mean the OP is unwelcome. It's great when people here do happen to know about certain niches and they share that knowledge. However, when you conjure up an expectation in your head that strangers will have such knowledge on niche topics, that's on you. If you do reach out to the HRC Discord server, it's probably best not to throw any tantrums there either if you don't get your way.

I've got their Honey badger with their HPA engine in, it's my first foray into HPA, so can't compare it against anything else, but had a few games with it now, and it seems OK. as others have said, it is a fixed rate of fire, but that doesn't really bother me, as it tends to suit my style of play (I actually think a DMR would be more suitable for me). I opted for the Ares from Crawley Surplus Store (my local), including battery with the XT connector, due to being on a budget and requiring the HPA system too. I'm using my Specna Arms M4 mid cap S mags without any issues. Had 1 occasion where the solenoid stayed open and dumped some air, but disconnected airline, reconnected and all was fine, still had more than enough air left to finish the game, not had any repeats of that issue.
