Hi, wondered if any of you more experienced people could help me diagnose a problem. I've been upgrading my AS03- i replaced the barrel, hop unit and rubber and spring without any trouble but I found it had significant variations in power (if frequently drops a few hundred FPS) which I think is due to a leaky cylinder. I've replaced the cylinder and nozzle with ones from FPS but now I'm finding the bolt doesn't catch properly. When I draw back the bolt the indicator extends as it should but then it doesn't lock and the bolt slides all the way back. I can't identify the cause of this issue and switching back to the old cylinder is not really an option because the FPS variability made it unusable. Has anyone seen this issue before and know a fix? Thanks

Jesus wept. RIFT Airsoft sold its working ex-rental guns for ~£60 at the end of May. The ones with faults went for £20 less or so. If memory serves, there were some basic Specna Arms M4s and G&G Raiders.

By any chance is it FAL shaped? -
I've seen someone buy one at the site. It was a relatively new guy who had no idea about what's good and what's not so he was talking to regulars. Myself and a few others had been chatting with him and letting him handle the different rifles we had so he could see what he did and didn't like. I'm sure we told him to not buy one of those just because it was immediately available and it had likely been battered but he did anyway 🤷♂️
