Hi

does anbody know any information if your airsoft pistol is seized by customs and you dont have a licence then what will customs do?

are there any charges if you send it back to the sender and what happens next?

they will give you a chance to appeal the decision but if you have no site membership or ukara etc then they will most likely destroy it, i dout they will send it back.

Hi

Thanks for your reply. What do you mean appeal?

Do I tell them that I dont have a license or is it a court matter?

thanks

You will have to prove to customs you have a valid defence. You do not have to have UKARA, as its a retailer thing. You do either need site membership or have a site vouch that you are a regular skirmisher. This is normally easy to do if your site keeps names of players. You call your site, say that you have something in customs and ask if you can provide their name as your proof of skirmish. You then call customs, give them the site details and phone number and you may get your gun in a month. You can't prove a valid defence/reason for owning one then customs will destroy it and you will be out of pocket as the retailers clearly state on their websites that they are not held accountable for laws in your country and if you buy one against the law then it gets destroyed, tough.

Oh you also need to be over 18 to purchase one,a s well as have the valid defence.

Don't think you can off chance it in hope it might slip through. It won't.

You will probably not get a fine, but you may have some nice police blokes knocking on your door to ask why you were trying to import an imitation gun into the UK.
