Impulse Posted Monday at 09:59 Posted Monday at 09:59 I'm having an issue with my hi-capa where it doesn't shoot with every shot. Some shots the hammer only half engages and the pistol doesn't shoot, and I have to cock the hammer manually back to reset it and fire again; it usually will shoot after I do that, only for the issue to happen again after a few shots. Basically, which part would be causing this sort of issue? Trigger units are the part of guns that I do not understand anywhere near as well as the rest of the gun, so I'm at a bit of a loss as to what is actually causing this weird issue. My gut says it's going to be one of the sears in the trigger unit or something to do with the hammer itself, but I have no idea...

A short video, a few shots viewed side on might help people interpret the problem ?
Impulse Posted Monday at 14:30 Author Posted Monday at 14:30 Alright, let's see if this works... I'm guessing it won't embed the videos, but here are two 25 seconds(ish) videos of the issues, with two separate uppers. The problems are twofold: 1. The hammer only half engaging for whatever reason and needing to be manually reset 2. The trigger not working at all (you see it more towards the end, there's an audible click of me pulling the trigger but the hammer doesn't move at all) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tdP9tSS0cFEZfAkXiTLAg2VqMiA3nhiK/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Xn6JNRZ93pxAzfOMvgNOoNae8QffLKxn/view?usp=sharing
Galvatron Posted Tuesday at 22:24 Posted Tuesday at 22:24 As it's intermittent, I suspect the middle arm of your sear spring may be slightly misaligned from the hammer as I had something similar. I had to re-seat the spring on one of mine when I had that problem with the hammer.
