Punisher3990
Evening all, Apologies if this question comes up a lot I looked few a lot of pages but didn't find anything. I am hoping someone can help me out. I am a larger chap (6ft tall and currently 18st but shedding that fast) Anyway, I am building my loadout and as its my first I wanted to get something cheaper but comfy. So I went for some Kombat gear. I got UBACS Tactical Fleece – BTP in 3XL. The chest fits fine but the sleeves are massive, like fit another arm in there massive. Is this expected with a UBAS? I know they are meant to be a bit looser to allow for movement but this seems ridiculous. I am finding the same with trousers. I got S95 Ripstop BTP Trousers (46W) The waist is fine, fits nice without the need for a belt, the rest though almost 4-5 inches of extra trouser on the bottom and could l fit another leg in them. Crazy baggy like im 4 sizes smaller but any smaller and the waist wont be big enough Again is this an issue with that brand or are these items meant to be insanely baggy? Can anyone recommend a brand that doesnt have this issue? Apologies if this has been posted before Phill Edited 2 hours ago by Punisher3990
Tank423
Big boys unite! Emerson gear without a doubt, I'm a large chap but short and struggled to find decent gear that fitted well until I came across EG stuff. It's around £110 for a UBACS and trousers, lots of different straps for adjusting and suiting you as you drop weight. Knee pads are quite thick but comfortable and definitely help if you have dodgy knees like me (fucked them up on the edge of a paving slab of all things) One thing I would recommend is going a size up on the UBACS as the main body is form fitting and shows every lump and bump. There's a few pictures of me in my gear showing how it fits on different threads.
Ollie90
Hi, usually these things are meant to be baggy to allow for movement so not too sure what you could do here. As for cheap clothing, if MTP is what you're looking for then grab some genuine issue stuff. I got my ubacs and trousers from Ebay, new in packaging for about £20 for ubacs and £12 for trousers. They'll be baggy on arms and legs as they're designed for complete unrestricted movement but they'll last and are so cheap. Grabbing some knee pads can also help reduce the baggyness, could be worth looking at? Or you can also grab yourself some combat trousers with knee pads, (I've just picked some up for £30, still waiting on delivery so hopefully they'll be good), anyway these usually feature a velcro tab around the ankle so can at least tuck in a little bit. Either way I bet you'll look awesome and they probably don't look as baggy as you think. Sorry I couldn’t be more help!
Punisher3990
Thanks for the tips. I feel like i am slightly underselling how baggy they are, especially the trousers. See the picture attached where my finger is at the side of my leg with the trouser pulled directly outwards Edited 1 hour ago by Punisher3990 grammar

See the picture attached where my finger is at the side of my leg with the trouser pulled directly outwards Emerson Gear trousers have Velcro straps around the knee area to deal with the baggyness, there are also cords inside the trousers that are adjustable to keep the knee pads over your knees at all times, it feels strange at first but after a few minutes it feels natural. Here's a picture of how they fit me (38/40W, down from 52!)
Punisher3990
Heres mine so far, I have just got the PC so its not adjusted properly and is sitting a bit high and I am still wating for a belt to holster my pistol + mags etc. Still undecided on if i want to go helmet or not. Going by my test today I am 100% going to need Exfog. I am also in the "wears Glasses" group too haha I was just worried them being baggy was odd but perhaps them are meant to be like this the top isnt too bad but i feel the trouser may impede my movement a bit perhaps knee pads is a good idea like you guys have mentioned
