Cannonfodder Posted Sunday at 03:54 Share Posted Sunday at 03:54 So in my quest to tart up my MP7 I've been looking at fitting a tracer and while the general consensus is to get an acetech they can be a bit on the expensive. Looking around I've seen a few places selling ones by T238 and being half the price my interest was piqued, especially as reviews seem to be positive. So has anyone used them, how do they compare to other more expensive alternatives and most importantly would you recommend them?
ButcherBill Posted Sunday at 08:20 Share Posted Sunday at 08:20 (edited) If you've never used one before why not pick up 1 from the classifieds at a low cost to see how you like using one? I know I don't play often but I've only ever seen one used in game & it lit them up like a christmas tree which meant they got lit up by loads of us straight after. Yes, they are great for making yourself a target.

I think that's tracers all over- undeniably fun to watch, they just seem to put you at a tactical disadvantage. A well zeroed red dot, backed up with the occasional use of a weapon light seems to be the best compromise that I've found for low light or night games. Cannonfodder Posted Sunday at 18:44 Author Share Posted Sunday at 18:44 (edited) Thanks for all the replies. I know tracers can give your position away but I find that tends to happen anyway when the trigger is pulled and there's the allyness factor 😁 10 hours ago, ButcherBill said: If you've never used one before why not pick up 1 from the classifieds at a low cost to see how you like using one? I did think about that but unfortunately the classifieds section is playing silly buggers at the moment and the only T238 unit for sale there doesn't do red bbs. There's a nuprol one that does work with red bbs, but I've already got a nuprol tracer and it's crap Edited Sunday at 18:53 by Cannonfodder

Red is probably better for not giving your position away in that they're not as bright. Cannonfodder
