Colin Allen Posted Tuesday at 17:57 Share Posted Tuesday at 17:57 It has a Gate Aster ETU in it. It is possible that the sticker on the selector plate has shifted, so the sensors are not able to tell when the selector is in semi or full. It is also possible that there is another problem with the ETU or that it is something else. If you bought it recently, contact the seller and explain that it has been like this since it arrived and you want a refund. If they do not agree and you paid by PayPal Goods and Services, raise a case with PayPal and do not close it until it is resolved. If you paid by bank transfer or PayPal Friends and Family and the seller won't play, you are screwed. In which case, if you are not confident working on it, get it to a tech to sort it out. 21 minutes ago, Reece96 said: Not the best video as the gun has not started to be wank on full auto aswell and its really starting to piss me off. So I apologise for the crap video 20250610_182959_1.mp4 The guy I got it off is now saying he's happy for me to send it back and he will give me a refund for it. Might be better off for me to do that and find a rif that actually works If he is local meet face to face; if you send it to him there is a slight risk that he may not refund you. If that happens, a baseball bat usually works well. Reece96
Reece96 Posted Thursday at 14:43 Author Share Posted Thursday at 14:43 So, he's decided to give me money back for the gun, im gonna sell it as spares/repairs or something like that. Could be a really easy fix for someone that knows what they're doing, so if anyone on here knows of anyone wanting it, ill be listing it at the weekend. But what would be a reasonable price do we think? Does come with 5 mags + a drum mag, red dot, battery extender & two battery's if needed
ButcherBill Posted Thursday at 14:50 Share Posted Thursday at 14:50 If this is your first entry into airsoft don't be disheartened, even if you don't want my arp9 try someting else, there are plenty of 'sports' rif's around the same price range either second hand or new (two toned), buying new you'll need a UKARA registration but if you invest that money into the 3 game days you'll need at a registered site & hire the kit you need then you'll have a better idea of whether you want to buy your own rif again. If you were local, I would offer to sort it out for you for the cost of any parts used, even though I dislike Gate ETUs. However, given the cost of postage in both directions, that probably isn't viable. As the Butcher has said, don't let this put you off; he has also given you good advice. Throw in a Perun Speeder if that's your jam, or a Clicker if you want a less speedy boi trigger feel. While you're at it, have the bushings, nozzle and piston replaced. Check air seal and replace piston head o-ring if necessary. Fuck off the stock G&G hop rubber and go for a maple leaf. Use those £100 to do the above and enjoy your ARP-9! Reece96 Posted yesterday at 17:22 Author Share Posted yesterday at 17:22 I can't thank everyone enough for the help, but I think im just going to get rid of it along with everything else I've got. But if anyone has a ballpark price that I could put it up for that would be great

But if anyone has a ballpark price that I could put it up for that would be great The usual guide for selling secondhand is 60-70% of the retail price, depending on the condition. Magazines: Drum mag: £63.00, so £38-£45 300 round version: About £35, so £21-£25 each Clear 170 round version: About £35, so £21-£25 each Black 60 round version: About £18, so £10-£13 each Short transparent version: About £18, so £10-£13 each Battery extension: £23, so £14-£16 As for the gun, they retail at about £249; as it is non-functional, £100-£120? It really depends on what someone is willing to pay, so be prepared to negotiate. You might do better to split it, selling the mags separately from the gun.
