awrightdude Posted Tuesday at 15:23 Share Posted Tuesday at 15:23 CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND A COMPATIBLE SPRING FOR MY SA10? I've tried Patrol base similar sites and and all I get are suggestions for different makes OR spring powered sniper rifles! As I'm new to working on the internals I want to get it right. I hastily bought an m100 spring from eBay but it's massive and it didn't mention if it was compatible!
Quagmire Posted Tuesday at 16:23 Share Posted Tuesday at 16:23 I have the SA-E01, and have never had any issue with XT springs from ak2m4.co.uk, give those a try. Rogerborg
Supporters Rogerborg Posted Tuesday at 16:51 Supporters Share Posted Tuesday at 16:51 Agreed, this will be fine: https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/internal-parts/springs/xt-aeg-spring-m100 It looks like you've got a 150mm barrel, so while you can probably get up to 1.1J, you might need to go a little hotter to get there. Do you have a chronograph? If so, you could try an M105 or even M110, then cut a coil or two, or just heat-and-squish them, in order to fine tune it down. If not, an XT M100 should be fine, you're always better coming out a little under than over.

Aftermarket springs are quite often longer than the original ones - this is not a problem. Rogerborg
Supporters Rogerborg Posted Tuesday at 22:17 Supporters Share Posted Tuesday at 22:17 Oh, sorry, yes, I blanked on that. If you've bought an AEG spring, and it's the same diameter as the stock spring, sling it in and you should be good. Longer springs can reduce twanginess. Do you have the link to the eBay listing?
