Wegalaxy
Hello, My WE CT-25 has just sprung a gas leak from the bottom fill valve. This is after playing a very hot long day at my field. I feel the O-ring may have deformed. I replaced the o-ring and re-lubed the filling valve. I then tightened the valve. Its still leaking. I am very confused to why it is still leaking as I have changed the main O-ring. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
gavinkempsell
is it possible there is dirt in the valve, sunny days obviously product more dust than the typical pissing down days. have you tested the mag in water to see where the leak is coming from?
Wegalaxy
I can only hear it from the bottom valve. I also cleaned out the threads.
gavinkempsell
Ok but was the leak from the outside of the valve (you've cleaned the threads & changed the O ring so unlikely), or could the leak be coming from inside the valve? Wegalaxy
hello, It could be. How do I go about cleaning or disassembling the inside of the value? Thanks
gavinkempsell
If you have another mag, try swopping the valves first, if it still leaks then you'll know if it's the mag (threads) or the valve which IMO is more likely. I'm not sure if it can be cleaned but I'd expect several mag fills should force any dust/dirt out of the valve. either that or replace the valve, I just recently picked up a valve on fleabay for £9.

Supporters Adolf Hamster Posted June 24 Supporters Share Posted June 24 Are you sure it's the valve? I found the base seal of the mag really doesnt like handling anything stronger than nuprol 2.
