Wegalaxy Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 (edited) Hello, When firing my Vorsk G18C, I receive a painful blast of cold air on my hand. It has happened 3 out of 10 shots and excessive clouds of green gas come from the pistol when firing (looks pretty cool if I say so). The pistol cycles fine. Its just unusable when it starts blasting me with freezing green gas. What is the issue with my pistol? Any easy fixes? Thanks VID_20240225_164056~2.mp4 Edited April 6, 2024 by Wegalaxy
hitmanNo2 Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 Honestly, return it if you've bought from a retailer. Wegalaxy 1
Wegalaxy Posted April 4, 2024 Author Posted April 4, 2024 Will do. Just wondering if its a common thing with g18c pistols.

Generally no, BUT, Could be a vorsk qc thing, could be venting due to ambient temperature or rapid firing, or the two combined, but venting usually occurs forwards out of the barrel, not rearward over the hand? As has been said, if its new return it, ideally for a refund, or upgrade to a TM, you'll not regret it.
Colin Allen Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 It is a Vorsk; they have terrible quality control and a range of problems. If it is new, return it for a refund and buy a TM. Tackle 1
Wegalaxy Posted April 5, 2024 Author Posted April 5, 2024 Thanks everyone will do @Tackle. How can this be caused by ambient temperature? Regarding physics? Just curious

Regarding physics? Just curious Just a posh word, essentially if the temperature is too low, or borderline too low, it remains in a more liquid state, so doesn't perform as well. Metal bodied guns are more prone, literally because they hold the cold compared to plastic slides & bodies, hence why TM kit is plastic, very realistic plastic I'll add, & they will perform well when other brands struggle. the perfect combination is a TM gas pistol for the summer, & a c02 pistol for winter use (or even an aep if its only an occasionally used backup)

Thanks VID_20240225_164056~2.mp4 Gas venting is somewhat normal depending on the conditions that you use it in, but, whilst it seems a little extreme in your case, gas can vent out of any place really. Another issue could be that you have overfilled the magazines and the temperatures of both the magazine/gas and the surrounding atmosphere aren't quite ideal. I would firstly empty the magazines gas, purge it (hold down the gas release valve, flow gas through and then let go and continue filling) and then stop before the hissing disappears. Let the mag warm up and then try it again. If that doesn't seem to help then I would maybe find a replacement nozzle and nozzle piston cup (ideally not from Vorsk, but ones that would still fit), wear gloves, or just buy a different Glock (like a TM or Gen4 VFC), just be aware that automatic Glock models CAN break down quite easily so be careful with them). Vorsk pistols aren't the worst when it comes to QC and I don't really mind them but sometimes they aren't that great. Edited May 14, 2024 by SerialNoodle
