I'm having no luck finding rear sling loop for my Cyma MP5. So if any of you fine people have one, would you mind taking it off and taking a couple of pictures for me please?

Which stock do you have?

If it's the collapsing one, is it the bit of bent metal you want a pic of?

Yes, ive got the collapsing one and yes,  the metal bit that fits into the left hand side. ????

What tragedy has befallen you

I think one, of the many, times that I've taken it apart, I've put it back in the wrong way with the bent bits facing backwards so when I dropped it a little heavily on the sling it popped out and my beloved Vera nose dived into the mud!! I couldn't find it in the mud but thought it would be easy to get a replacement! ?

All sorted now though, one of our members has a spare that they are going to send.

You really do meet the nicest people on here. Well, apart from the ones who ask too much for tat, the ones who can't answer simple question then troll, the ones who want spoon feeding information . . . . .

a keyring loop.  then put the sling onto that

There's not enough space for a ring to loop in the stock.

The shape of the metal bit spreads the load inside the stock too.

I wonder how easy they are to make, I might have a go since I have a couple of mp5s

Depends how authentic you want it to look.

I made one out of a wire coat-hanger. Its strong enough to hold the AEG on a single point sling.

I think that's the problem, it doesn't lock in place under load. It just pulls out.

There are 2 recesses in the receiver . . .

That are lined up with the holes in the stock and take one of my homemade loops rather nicely.

Any load on it in this orientation will just lock it in place.

I still couldn't get it to fit with the stock though, until @Archer s pic showed that it's on a slant.

Still can't get it to fit with the tabs facing forward!!!!! I've made them shorter but still not.

So, lots of measuring and marking and I think you're right, they face backwards but that just doesn't make sense!!!

While I was fucking around with bits of wire, Mr @Archer came to rescue, yet again, and sent me a spare that he had lying around. I still didn't think the tabs went backwards but that's the ONLY way it'll fit.

I've only removed the stock once to paint a 2 tone & I don't remember the prongs on the sling mount being as simple as those look in your pics, granted.... mine was a pain to reassemble.
