Can you even get Gen.4's atm? I know they were recalled. The Gen.4 doesn't have any newer tech on the inside. Although the double recoil rod is arguably a better design than that found in the Gen.3.

Thanks for the replies. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner but I have recently had cataract surgery and my sight has not been up to using the computer.

Did Tokyo Marui ever get round to sorting the problem with their Gen 4 Glock 17s and 19s. Hope so, as I purchased one of their Glock 17 gen4s new from a retailer just a couple of weeks ago. Seems ok so far though I have only test fired it.

Did the gen3 Glock 19 suffer from the same problem as the Gen4 19G?

the fact you can get them would assume TM sorted them you couldn't get a TM Glock for a long time.

I think from their homepage they state that they had a recall and those which were fixed are marked with a G above the serial number on the box. This page has more details.

In terms of the differences, I believe the 19 gen 3 and 4 are largely the same, but the 17 gen 3 doesn't have the larger 15mm blowback unit (the 4th gen 17 does).
