those contacts look pretty damn clean, although the build up that counts is between them (ie not visible in the shot).

 

also worth checking that the contacts are actually touching properly when the trolley is forwards, could be they've been bent wider by whoever previously gave them a scraping and now they ain't touching.

Reporting back, and thankfully the firehawk has come back to life!

So bottom line is that the trigger contacts were 1) a little grubby and needed a clean and 2) the actually positioning of the trigger contacts was a bit off so contact was not being made consistantly.

 

Thankfully, managed to get everything back together again and she is shooting great - so far! Game day on Sunday so will take this a long to see how it gets on.
