Hello all, just a general question about batteries, just bought a rif that says it needs a 11.1v 1300mAh 15c LiPo, now I have one but it says its 25c if I was to use this would it damage the rif in any way, thanks for the help and look forward to hearing from you.

Yeah, its fine to use a higher 'C' rated battery.

In fact its better because lower 'C' might make the battery heat up.

The 'C' rating is a multiple of its overall capacity and indicates the maximum current draw the battery can deliver.  A motor will take the power it needs from the battery.  If the motor needs a lot of power and the battery has a low 'C' it may struggle to provide that power and get stressed.  A battery getting hot indicates its stressed.

Exactly that.  It's nonsensical to use a high voltage battery that will make the motor want to spin fast, but a low C rating so that it can't meet the load that the motor will then try and draw.

Anyone telling you to do that doesn't understand remedial electrics, which sadly covers most of Reddit and half of the "techs" and retailers out there.

I really see why RC people laugh at us in pity.
