Pewpewpetie
Hi all, just bought an aap-01 and it came with a semi only selector plate installed. Does anyone know where you can buy just the standard switch which allows full auto
Fatboy40
Then that's not a genuine UK market AAP-01 and meant for a country like Germany. Unless the business that sold it to you was outside of the UK, or the business explicitly said it was both semi and auto, I'd get a refund from them and send it back. From alot of forums I've read alot of people lock them to semi. I'm just going on what I've read. But I'm wondering where I can pick up the standard selector 4 minutes ago, Pewpewpetie said: I bought it from a local guy, you can buy the semi lock switch in alot of places. Fatboy40
The standard part is not a separately available item, and for a while www.airsoftworld.net had various AAP-01 parts for sale from disassembled ones but I never saw the selector part. An after-market one may be an option, for example... https://www.airsoftworld.net/imperial-custom-precision-action-army-aap-01-qfs-quick-fire-selector.html ... but I've no idea what of the original mechanism it still requires. Personally I find it intriguing that someone chose to swap in a 3D printed part to lock it to semi, why would you do that if you use it just as a pistol, so maybe at some point they upgraded it to act as a DMR and never fully changed it back? No entirely sure why, but I'll give it a go and see if that part works
Albiscuit
Tbf I would be annoyed if the seller didn’t tell you it had been locked before buying and would start a case against them. That being said he’s probably done you a favour as the internals melt on full auto anyway. but as mentioned I too have had a look for all sorts of parts and don’t recall seeing an original selector. I feel you may struggle
Pewpewpetie
Managed to find a 3d printed one. Tbf I probably won't use full auto much it's just more knowing that I can if needed.

Full auto on it puts a big smile on your face 😁 (however, it churns through gas and BB's on a standard or extended mag as it's so quick, a drum mag is an option but then as you can dump so much so quickly you end up badly icing up the gun and its internals)

What are field regulations regarding this. Aegs 350fps , dmr 450fps , basr 500fps. My field doesn't Chrono green gas pistols.
