EDcase Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 Hiall, Just wondering on your experience with repairs... If you've had a gun repaired by a tech or shop, I presume you had a warranty to cover any further problems? How long did it cover? Cheers

I'm guessing this is a leading question so come on, what's happened?
EDcase Posted April 28, 2021 Author Posted April 28, 2021 Yeah, Just have a gun at retailer for warranty repair (fault from new) and wondering generally how long the warranty would be afterwards. Of course my main concern is future failure in case the fix is not up to spec. If you're interested I'll make a post about the fault when I get it back.
BigStew Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 Unless it breaks the first time you use. it getting a lot of shops to honour a warranty is a loosing battle

The retailer arranged collection and is currently fixing it under warranty. I'll write up a full review once I get it back...

Generally your warranty will run from date of original purchase to cover defects in the purchased product. If the shop doing the repair under warranty is officially authorised by the manufacturer then that warranty should be intact. If not then they're effectively invalidated whatever warranty the OEM offered and you'll be at the mercy of whatever the retailer offers as a warranty on parts and labour. In normal (non airsoft) circumstances that's usually going to be in the order of three months but in the case of airsoft I'd say it's right up to the point that you pull the trigger and use it. Then it'll be your fault if it goes wrong again because your BB's are the wrong shade of white.
