MZKaleem
are you looking for an accurate loadout? if so, ditch the cap, and look on Ebay for any DPM MOLLE vests, although you will then have stuff in DDPM (Desert Disruptive Pattern Material) as this is what soldiers and what-not are selling, which makes it easier if you are going for an accurate loadout, if not this, then i have found it hard to find a MOLLE vest and my friend was very lucky in finding a cheap molle vest in woodland/normal DPM with pouches. If i find the original site i will update this and add in the link knee pads and elbow pads may be tricky to find in DPM but their most likely there, i will also keep an eye out for those mate. Now you told me to scrap the baseball cap but then should I buy a DPM Helmet or something please give me some suggestions. Also I recently got shot in the hands and it hurt like a mother*()@?> so I definetly need some padded gloves anything to complete the DPM look. any price will do and the more options the better for the gloves and headgear. Nother thing I want to buy a pistol But I will have the rig should I get a belt holster and pistol mags and if so could they be in DPM and both the holster and the belt be adjustible I'm not the skinniest bloke ever. MZKaleem
well...if the british do use sidearms then yes, they would use a P226 and yeah anything can be anything if you want it to be, take a look around
Supporters Rock-climby-Dave Posted May 31, 2011 Supporters Share Posted May 31, 2011 'not the skinniest bloke ever' makes your life so much easier for finding tac-gear to fit. Most of the gear is designed for marines and BIG army-type men. us skinnies just have our gear fall off us, even on the smallest settings. I wouldn't worry about gloves either, the brief pain is much better than the hassle of wearing them (especially in summer) As far as pistol holster goes, it depends what you like, Drop legs look more tactical, but can get in the way and it is less obvious when/if the pistol falls out. ones mounted to the vest are giong to take up valuable MOLLE room. If you want a hat/helmet, just go for what feels right, anything is better than nothing in my books as a hit to the head hurts like a mother - although that could be due to all I wear is a buff to camo my long ginger hair and some specs as they are more comfy and steam less... SheriffHD
its not DPM, but i use this when i paintball. http://www.rap4uk.com/Hawkeye-Goggles-With...lmet-p/5537.htm you can get DMP helmet covers for a few quid from most surplus shops. and the mask it self is very nice to play in. where most masks are rather rigid these paintball masks offer good flexablity so you can still lookd own you scope/sights with out your mask moving half way around your face. Devereaux
Hi mate, Got all my gear from Cadetdirect.com Karrimor SF Sabre Combat Vest British Woodland DPM. Tacgear Combat Shirt & Trousers British Woodland DPM (I took the padding out of the trousers as they're a tad too flared). Tacgear stuff does hang a bit loosely on the body so bear in mind when choosing sizes. As for the other bits, I got a pair of Magnum boots from Blacks, Oakley SI Assault Gloves in black from tactical-kit.co.uk. Not sure if you'll get away with wearing separate upper and lower face protection, you'll still have full face protection in theory. If so, I swear by Bitter End face and eye protection. It's mesh so there's no problems with fogging. Some are against mesh for safety reasons but there has been no injury endured when wearing high quality mesh goggles. Head gear is something i have yet to sort out, I'd really like a MK6 Kevlar helmet and the Tacgear helmet cover in British woodland DPM but the mk6's are far to heavy for my liking so I might invest in Tacgears British woodland DPM boonie from cadetdirect. All of the above items are quite pricey but all real high quality gear in my opinion. Hope this helps yourself or others in your/their quest for a load-out.
