Barrel threads

Ok, ive never bothered with silencers before or anything but my friend just gave me one

so iwant to put is on my gun, the thing is it is the wrong thread so i need an adapter.

the thing is i need to know which one to get.

if i look down the barrel, gun aiming towards me and i twist the flash hider clockwise from this view, is it a clock wise or anti clockwise threaded barrel?

If you are looking at it from the front and you turn the silencer/flashider clockwise to tighten it then its a clockwise thread, whereas if you turn it clockwise and it unscrews then its a counterclockwise thread

Wrong tread? as in the diameter is too small? or the thread pitch is to fine? what?

my silencer need to screw the opposite way to the barrels thread, the diameter is correct
