Redeon
So i mistakenly without thinking plugged a large tamiya battery into my small tamiya on my aeg and pulled the trigger a couple of times. Smells like burnt plastic, and the fuse popped. Do you think I may have done any damage to the motor or do you think i'll be okay? Kind of worried... Supporters Sitting Duck Posted November 4, 2016 Supporters Share Posted November 4, 2016 Just blew a fuse most likely.... The large/small tamiya's have different polarity On I think small tamiya the red wire is a round plug connector and the black is square On large tamiya it's ar$e about face, red wire is square and black wire is round connector... Or something like that, some converters especially off fleabay don't swap the polarity correctly So you need to unpick the adapters and swap them over What it sounds like to me, you got it wired up in reverse polarity but the AR latch stopped gun cycling in reverse but this locking warmed the wires & blew the fuse Sort it out on polarity and fund should be ok if all goes ok
Redeon
Yeah I think I'll just re-wire the small tamiya. Just hope I didn't burn out the motor... something definitely smelled like burning back there
ak2m4
As SD said....sounds like you "crossed the streams" and as Egon noted "It would be bad." :-)
