rsksmiles
Got back this weekend after shooting some frogs. Good kill ratio this time out! I did manage to break the AK. Where the folding stock connects to the end of the body has sheered off. The gun still works fine. Is worth/ possible to get a replacement body. I have looked in a number of French websites (where I live) but the only bodies I have found are for M4/15/16s. Any Ideas?
AF-UK Founding Member Deva Posted January 24, 2011 AF-UK Founding Member Share Posted January 24, 2011 Looks further a field, i.e. UK or HK. If you post up some pics of the damage it might be easier to understand what has happened.

bigshep
cybergun is a rebranded JG, I think, so you should be able to stick most metal bodies on it. I am assuming that you had the fold under stock snap on you? Bloody things are pot metal, I had one on mine snap from a ham fisted friend. They are perfectly usable without the stock, or you can order a replacement. You have a couple of options, new stock, or new body. New stock: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/king-arms-aks-s...rian-style.html proper steel by King arms http://www.ebairsoft.com/series-full-steel...stock-p-67.html replacement pot metal one New body: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/accessories/met...-marui-aeg.html but you then need a wood or wood effect stock but intil we see piccies can't be much more help or you could always to this: http://www.gunpundit.com/1097.php
rsksmiles
Thanks bigshep, I have gone down with the flu and the shovel made me laugh !! Here are some photos .... itis the back of the main body that has sheared - I think the stock is fine. I will have a look at the sites you mentioned. I was wondering about getting a folding stock that attaches to the side of the body at the back. Thx again for any ideas
bigshep
ok, looks like you have snapped the whole of the body off at the back, as I can see the gearbox in there. So you do need a whole new body. You can get a whole body with the folding side stock for about £50, so that may be worth while http://www.ebairsoft.com/dboys-ak74-series...tock-p-973.html its a dohboys one, so your gearbx and stuff should drop in, with a bit of perusading as dohboys and JG were the same company (I think). Either that or see if anyone has a body knocking around.

rsksmiles
Thanks for the replies gents. I think that I will get another main body. @fateofhat: Yes for my sins I live in France and I work out my aggression in a local youth club airsofting once a month. The guy who runs it is an ex french marine and being an ex (TA) has been -- we gel pretty well.
Supporters Finius Posted January 26, 2011 Supporters Share Posted January 26, 2011 If the stock is fine, then try and get the receiver parts out of it (should be a case of pliers and a screwdriver), then just get an Element metal body from any of the chinese shops (try RSOV, I know they have a variety of AK bodies), and it should be a job well done. Due to the easy nature of the AK system, I've noticed that AK parts are always popping up on various forums, keep a lookout if you want to go secondhand, but I don't know what the airsoft market is like in France...
