jakmoon Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 As in title realy, i have tryed it twice and i get this nasty grinding noise when trying to fire my gun, i presume it the gearbox...... but HELP
REMSoft Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Scratch that. Same prob once. Motor for sure.
Supporters Rock-climby-Dave Posted January 24, 2011 Supporters Posted January 24, 2011 motor height, almost definatly on the base of the pistol grip, there is a small screw (allen head, flat head or philips) if it is loose tighten it untill the griding stops and normal firing resumes, if it is really far in, loosen it off a bit (it is more likely to be loose)
jakmoon Posted January 24, 2011 Author Posted January 24, 2011 Ill try that first, if it is gearbox or piston would it be worth getting a new spring put in at the same time? as i want to upgrade that anyway
Supporters Rock-climby-Dave Posted January 24, 2011 Supporters Posted January 24, 2011 if you are going into the 'box, you may aswell.
jakmoon Posted January 25, 2011 Author Posted January 25, 2011 Is it pritty straight foward changing parts? Or would it be best left to somone who knows?
Supporters Rock-climby-Dave Posted January 25, 2011 Supporters Posted January 25, 2011 opening it up and changing bits is very simple. an ape could do it. getting it all together again is considerably harder and probably worth getting someone who knows how to do it properly.
Bluegill Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Wise advice from Dave. I took my TM Aug apart to try and work out what was wrong with it and why it wasn't working... I've still not managed to get it back together again!
jakmoon Posted January 26, 2011 Author Posted January 26, 2011 Right guys thanks for the advice thus far, when i get round to it ill try the motor hight first and get back to you Thanks
jakmoon Posted February 16, 2011 Author Posted February 16, 2011 right i had a look at my gun the other day, and it seem this screw (motor height screw) seems to be missing.... guess i have found my problem here... any ideas where i can get a replacement screw from? should my local airsoft store supply them?
Supporters Rock-climby-Dave Posted February 16, 2011 Supporters Posted February 16, 2011 local airsoft store or even take the lower part (for the love of god not th whole gun) to a local DIY store and ask for a grub screw to fit that *point at the hole* IIRC they are 1.5mm usually a local airsoft shop is probably the best place to start
jakmoon Posted February 17, 2011 Author Posted February 17, 2011 (for the love of god not th whole gun) yeah.. oi you have you got a screw to fit THIS (pulls out gun) that could get intresting would it say any where on the TM website... if there is one? like is there a section for gun specs/blue prints?
Supporters Rock-climby-Dave Posted February 18, 2011 Supporters Posted February 18, 2011 I can't recall seeing anything on the website, but then it is a large siten and i last looked quite a while ago. There definatly IS a website for you to look at though
