Being a bit of a G&G fan boy been looking to get a AEG G&G T418 DST and was wondering whether it is worth paying the extra £££ for the Mosfet version of the RIG?

Thanks in advanced

Thing is is a fet is in there then the donkey work has been done

if it does go tits up then best replace with another - but not a G&G one

a £10 one would suffice or go for a bells n whistle one if you really want

but a basic £10 one will do the job

G&G did redesign their fets I believe but either way they are still just cheap basic ones. Still better off getting a gen 2 and fitting a Gate Mosfet yourself in my opinion.

I wish the mosfets were the only issue with the gen 3's, but its not. Stick with gen 2 and do the fet work yourself.

It's not worth paying the extra cash for the poor quality mosfet in the G&G gen 3s. It's far better to get yourself a gen 2 and fit a nice Gate Nano or Pico FET or BTC Spectre FET (the Spectres are far rarer though).

I have a Gate Nano in my DMR and I get a cracking trigger response. A word of warning though- everything else feels really clunky and slow to fire after you have a go with a 'Fetted gun!
