Sup, my name is Chris and I'm looking at getting into Airsoft. Seen many videos on youtube and I'm now dying to give it a go myself . I already own 2 GBB M92F's but I'm going to need a rifle of some kind eh? Any suggestions? Personally I'd like to go for an M4 or something similar. Also whilst I'm here, does anyone know of any Skirmish sites in or around Somerset? I can't really travel too far.

and yes, some form of rifle or SMG would be advisable

M4's are a very popular option - as are G36's and AK's.

what kind of budget do you have?

@Rock-climby-Dave. Well I'm willing to spend anything up to £300 really lol. Aye I do quite like the look of the G36. Had a blast with one of my mates G36C's. Was nice and comfortable to hold.

£300 is going to get you a nice gun with some snazzy bits for it.

have a look at classic army, KWA, Marui.

they all do sweet M4's.

 

SRC are also close to them, quality wise, but at basically half the price

 

as for G36's - SRC, Classic army (CA) or ares (which is fine, if you are willing to spend a bit more and do some fiddling to get it upto scratch)

One more thing, would you recommend going down the two-tone route for a first gun. Or rent untill I hit up a UKARA membership?

Would definitely rent, you only have to do it 3 times and the experience of going might make you want something else.

Yeh thats true. Rent it is then, cost of renting is a lot cheaper than I thought it'd be.
