GREG Shooter123 Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 I managed to remove my stock and when I unscrew it there's a wire that run through it connected to the gun. What can I do, cut it, or is there somewhere it disconnects. It connect to the battery connection and stops me pulling the buffer tube off. Any ideas?? Thanks for the help! GREG
Zak Da Mack Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Hi Greg, if you can get a torch shining down the buffer tube, you should see a screw at the bottom keeping it together. To get it out, you need a pretty long screwdriver though. The wire should feed through a hole in the buffer tube and may get stuck, so you'll need to fiddle around with it.
GREG Shooter123 Posted June 1, 2014 Author Posted June 1, 2014 I undid the screw before, the buffer wasn't attached to the main part of gun but dangling. I couldn't feed the wire through it! Any ideas??
TacMaster Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 If you cut it, the gun's fucked unless you're good at rewiring. I suggest leave it for now until you find some online video guides for the gun you're modding. Or just don't bother with the stock tube- what's the point in buying a full size stocked rifle if you just want to remove the stock system completely?
Supporters M_P Posted June 1, 2014 Supporters Posted June 1, 2014 Try taking the battery connector off
Suzuki Yamamoto Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Once you have unscrewed the the screw that holds the buffer tube it should also free up the other part that helps to hold the buffer tube to your rifle. So it should just slide out once the screw is loose and then the tube should come off without any issue. Try using this you tube video for further assistance.
dex Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Bit of common sense needs applying here. Think about how the f**k they got it on there in the 1st place, then do the reverse. If you have to start cutting wires, chances are you are doing the wrong thing.
