reavers
I am new to airsoft I play mostly woodland and want to get a new gun I have a UKARA number and have been looking at the following: G&G Combat Machine AEG CM16 Raider G&G Combat Machine AEG CM16 Raider L I like the look of the short but have been told that the accuracy on the long is better and that if i want a suppressor on the short I wauld have to put a new wxtended barrel on it. Can I put a suppressor on the long? Any advice or alternative suggestions welcome. Thanks Reavers
Mike636
The inner barrel is the same length in both, so the longer outer barrel only effects looks. The suppressor goes in place of the flash hider so you wouldn't need a different barrel at all and it can be fitted to both.
Supporters M_P Posted March 9, 2014 Supporters Share Posted March 9, 2014 Yeah no performance difference on either, literally just aesthetics, both can take suppressors.
TomC
You might also want to think about the shorter version will be easier for CQB use with no performance draw backs. The main thing is aesthetics though, as these guys have already said.

Mike636
Basically hes swapping the stock inner barrel for a different one which is longer than the original so it sticks out the end.

Mike636
Here are the parts diagrams from G&G http://www.guay2.com/web/drawings/cm/CM16RaiderL_explode.pdf http://www.guay2.com/web/drawings/cm/CM16Raider_explode.pdf both inner barrels appear to be the same, but your best bet would be to ring the retailer themselves and ask them over the phone or better yet go in and ask to have a look yourself
TomC
I have the G&G CM16 Raider CQB version and the in barrel length is 233mm if that helps.
reavers
Thanks http://www.guay2.com/web/gc_product/CM16R.php?lang=en states 233mm http://www.guay2.com/web/gc_product/CM16R-L.php?lang=en 357 mm there is an inner barrel difference of 124mm. I doubt the extra would increase accuracy that much.
