Hi, my name is dan and I'm from Sevenoaks (kent) I've been to a few skirmishes and am now looking for my 1st aeg.

I have a 300 odd pound budget for a rifle not including accessories. I've been eyeing up G&G t4-18 (416) and ics l85a2.

I must admit I do love an l85 and have read all l85 threads on here.. But I can't seem to find a good honest written G&G 416 review with good and bad points.

Dan.

Yes Ive got one - now cosmetically modded with optics, suppressor and grenade launcher but internally original.

Nice gun. Found RIS rail a bit uncomfortable on the fore hand but that is 416/417s for you. Easy to add a foregrip..

The only criticism I have is that the stock wobbles a little as it is extendable in preset positions, but its acceptable.

Fires well with a 7.4V LiPO in the stock - hard to put the stock to the shortest position because of the battery inside.

Thanksfor taking te time to answer mate!

theres a few kent players on here. im one. do you specificly want a G&G one not a VFC one???

I've heard the VFC one is only good for trades/cosmetics and the G&G wins on range/accuracy and there's 100quid difference.

Ideally I want the hasstle free one haa but was thinking of saving the 100 quid and spending it on mags ect. I do still love the l85 but I hear problems with the trigger. Am I being too picky?

Yeh I follow ed on YouTube and fb. He seems to just dominate in his videos lol. I do like the VFC, I just don't know if I can justify 400 on it. I'll have to get a batt, charger and a few mags. I think that's another reason the l85 is appealing as it includes two mags.

I want a good all rounder out the box really :) where abouts do you play on kent?

I've been to elite battle zone; the chattenden barracks site in Rochester. But I can't do Sundays so I'm kinda limited to Saturday games! :( btw I live in Sevenoaks.

Ive had a look at the 85's. And have been tempted! Very tempted. I wouldn't want a molested one as I wouldn't know where to start if it was to go wrong lol. I'm all for saving money tho!!

What guns are you running?
