Paveway Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 So have a PSG1 and its been used maybe half a dozen times since new, six years ago. Im looking to upgrade it and I don't mean just the internals. G&G used to do a RAS kit for this, but I don't know if its available anymore. So, what im looking for is a realistic set of ideas of hybrid designs that would be feasible. Hope that makes sense. Cheers Dave
Supporters M_P Posted August 30, 2013 Supporters Posted August 30, 2013 Check every retailer you can, the parts are still around. G&G's rail sets, metal receivers and stuff are still available- just a pain to find. For internals, systema do an FTK and a few companies do inner barrels. PDI did some bits but they aren't made anymore- the chamber block is worth getting if you can find one, but they're only around on the 2nd hand market these days. It was never a hugely supported rifle due to the unique version 4 gearbox, so it's basically seeing what you can find here and there
Paveway Posted August 31, 2013 Author Posted August 31, 2013 Aside from fitting a rail system, any views on a hybrid weapon. In relation to the main body, gearbox etc is this not the same as the G3 SG1? Dave
Supporters M_P Posted August 31, 2013 Supporters Posted August 31, 2013 What do you mean by hybrid? The recievers will a g3 version 2 gearbox, might need a few mods though. It's not the same as the SG1, the externals are different as are the internals, but they have a fair bit of compatibility. The hop unit is probably the same.
