Ashly Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Hi guys basically a mate of mine has a RIF from before the new laws came in. He has no ukara. Can he use his RIF at a skirmish site? Cheers

Supporters Rock-climby-Dave Posted May 22, 2010 Supporters Posted May 22, 2010 yup. anything bought pre-october 2007 can be used as if it were UKARA exempt. if you want to sell it, the person selling it to has to be registered though.

Err no...you dont have to be registered to sell it. You just have to be certain that the person you are selling to has a legally valid reason to purchase the RIF from you.

Supporters Rock-climby-Dave Posted May 23, 2010 Supporters Posted May 23, 2010 yeah, missed selling it to. but you also have to be UKARA registered yourself. the act is specifically to stop people who don't have a defence from being able to use RIF's for much. (even though at times it seems it is just to ###### off airsofters)
AF-UK Founding Member Deva Posted May 23, 2010 AF-UK Founding Member Posted May 23, 2010 You don't have to have a defence to sell a gun it is just your responsibility as a seller to ensure the purchaser does have a defence.
