dazzer306
Hi im thinking of getting a rail put on my g&g but a free float rail, how does it attach.is it via the delta ring or norhing to do with that? thanks Josh Hi you got it. You have to remove handguard, front sight if possible, then femlve delta ring and spring and then you hve to unscrew the metal delta ring hub ( don't knkw correct name for it) then screw the free float one back into its place than attatch the rail to that. Just replaced one on my src m4 sounds alot of work but is quite straight forward to do just tke your time. Hope this helps Darren

Johnno
Some models of RIS do simply replace the standard Handguards and retain the Delta Ring etc (which means thay aren't free floating in the true sense of the word) but others such as the Danial Defence one that I have use a different Barrel Nut that the RIS attaches to using small Allen Bolts (very cool looking). PM me your e-mail addy if you're interested in some Photos.
joshcowin
i was just about to ask about them with the 4 allen screws.thanks
Johnno
Mine has 6 LOL 2 on each side and 2 on bottom. I think I know the ones you mean, they screw in from the rear of the Barrel Ring running in line with the Barrel? With mine you screw the replacement barrel Nut on in the usual way then slide the one piece Handguard/Rail over the top and bolt through it in to the Nut which has threaded holes around it's circumference.
