paperpirate
hi, i am new to airsoft and im going to buy a sniper this pops up almost every week now! if your new to airsoft i'd say get down to your local site and ask to borrow a sniper for a few games before you spend money. you wont have your licence so will have to get a lovely bright orange gun (defeating the point of being sneaky) so yeah, get down get into airsoft a little more and just dip in with borrowed rifles before you buy your own

If i had a two tone gun and put burlap on it, would i still be able to use it at skirmish sites, without ukara membership
Supporters TPI Posted April 22, 2012 Supporters Share Posted April 22, 2012 Yea you could but you'll have to take it off when your not at the site and that's if you even get to the point where its upgraded and useable Usually £500 extra of the queen's pretty side... Edbain
sniper is usually not a good place to start unless you know your deadly accurate, have a great sidearm (often theres a minimum engagement rule for snipers- too much power for close range), have a massive amount of money to spend on the gun, upgrades (it will need them to become sniper quality), on gear to blend in, and have a big outdoor site. craig
for a sidearm smaller is better since you will be crawling alot go for a p226 or a glock 17 also for a sniper rifle go for a m14 or a m16 since then you can add a scope with the ability to stand your ground ive seen snipers with semi auto weapons take on full AEG's and win were as bolt action not so much
paperpirate
its more the mindset, you've got to be aware of what ranges guns can get to, yours and the enemy. got to have atleast basic fieldcraft so you dont get seen a mile off because your silloette is obvious. just little bits and pieces that you will pick up better playing with an AEG first, then transition into the role. like has been said and m16 with a long barrel and decent hop unit will get you the begginings
Supporters Rock-climby-Dave Posted April 23, 2012 Supporters Share Posted April 23, 2012 TM MK23 is the PERFECT sniper weapon. Stick a new barrel and nineball hop rubber in it and you can hit out to AEG ranges without being heard at all past about 10M. sniping is about precision, range and not being detected. Why not continue that with your pistol? why give your position away, just because someone came within 20m of you?

Wardeneo
alright, i might but my local site costs around £45 for walk on and rentals so its quite alot, but i might. If i had a two tone gun and put burlap on it, would i still be able to use it at skirmish sites, without ukara membership Don't bother with two tone - u only need 3 games which is typically 6 weeks - honestly I went for a two tone sniper and I regretted it ever since... As for your sniper rifle query I wouldn't bother with the maruzen.. Or the psg1... The a&k drags are great especially with a russian scope but if I was you I'd get a tm vsr 10 - I have gspec model and there great - only downside is there 300 fps out the box but still very accurate.. Also like not people said sniping in airsoft is hard and is generally not advised for new players... If however ur stubborn like I was =D do a lot of research and see if you can have a look/fire with a few sniper rifles from your local site 1st - makes things cheaper and easier - I have had 4 differences sniper rifles in 2 months lol... bar 10/ well cloned vsr's are also very good too - All good but vsr still the best ^^ Liam
