Who Goes to Games by Themselves?

I'm planning on starting to play airsoft on my own soonieh, none of my mates play it so will be a lone wolf ?

The times I've gone with my mates, I literally only saw them in the safe zone, as soon as the game starts I end up with other players either accidentally ending up in a squad with someone else or just because I've been chatting to people about their equipment. I'm going on my own this weekend to a totally new site myself.

Not just every site I've been to but every game, there's literally always one voice that's louder than the rest, bragging to a person or group they didn't even go with "Ohhh maatee! I'm so hungover, I was aaaatt wid da lads 'til 5am, then bosh! Get up this mornin', Maccy D's on the way.....sorted!" or "Yeah, this is my new Marui Recoil. This thing's a beast! The shop did me a cracking deal too and let me put the 1650 smackaroonies on credit! Maaatee the other team must be brickin' it, I can hop 0.60g's (at 190fps)!"

I do the majority of the time. Will go somewhere nice for the weekend with the Mrs and youngest and fit a game in around it. New places each time. Bump into a lot of people I know from forums, FB ect as well as some from real life sometimes which is nice.

Now, that's dual purpose thinking.  I might float that boat with Mrs Borg.

How I got to play depot among other places. It's fair trek for me so it's worth making a weekend of it. Suppose I'm fairly central  which is handy.

I normally won't go on my own, you get split up pretty fast when playing but we stay in radio contact throughout the day. Mainly it's nice to have someone to drop back and talk to when energy's running low.

Well, at least they're honest enough to admit that they're ceramic and not plastic.  I guess the cost is going to limit their use, but it highlights why I believe airsoft as a whole really needs to have a think about where BB weights and compositions are heading.  At that point you're not far off just shooting 0.86g steel.

$19 for 40 is hilarious. How angry would you be if someone still didn't call the hit? I would be tempted to walk over and pick it up!

I'd often rock up the the local site (RIP The Stan) solo. I liked to play airsoft and also had the money to spare more often than my mates (helps with airsoft being one of my primary hobbies). Usually ran into a few faces I knew or just made new friends for the day.

They sell 0.69g 6mm BB's here:

https://www.airsoftatlanta.com/collections/bb-ammo/products/0-69g-deathzone-40-count-white-bio-bbs

In my previous comment 0.60g is a bit of an exaggeration but I have heard people boasting about "destroying" the other team because they've loaded their guns with heavy BB's.

Someone complaining about the opposition not taking their hits and pulling out a bag of 0.48g's for his WE 1911.
At that weight it’s no wonder they call it death zone! One of them in the mush and you’d know all about it ?

I've just started playing again (after to taking a 2 year break!), popped over to Proving Grounds at the weekend on my own.. everyone was very welcoming. I highly recommend it!

I go solo quite a bit. Once you get there it’s not like your a solo player though. Everyone Makes you very welcome.
