If its real, why file off the serial number? No reason to unless the numbers fake because its a reproduction or the item was stolen or used in something dodgy (like people filing of serials of illegal guns). Ill take back my vomment if you can give a logical reason to do this?

Everything you say in defense of it being real is here say, just your word, but your the one who wants to sell it so thats bias. Burden of proof is on you to show its real not just "Bro I has real gun so I know" like you answered the other question.

Imagine buying a collectible with an autograph but there's no certificate of Authenticity of the signature. The seller says there was one but its gone now. Would you buy just on the sellers word that its real? Or would you go elsewhere and find one with a COA?

I’d be happy for any face to face inspection, anybody who knows what they are about can tell it’s genuine, as for whether it’s come out of the quartermasters back door of a famous regiment, likely true.

No box and serial number filed off, can you confirm its not a repro? especially if you yourself bought it used

Yes. I’ve had repro’s, and loads of gen red dots, and without a doubt it’s real, and a total bargain.
The repro’s, apart from having poor parallax error and poor definition of the dot, are all a rough mat finish. This is high quality real steel, and does not lose zero on my real AR-15 lol
