I have a game this Saturday and so far the forecast is rain, any advice for surviving a rainy game?

Same advice for surviving rain doing literally anything else!
Consider some waterproofs, but if it's raining all day you're going to get soaked eventually. Make sure to keep warm if you do get soaked, consider bringing a spare change of clothes to change into inbetween games.
Make sure your RIF doesn't have any easy areas for water to get into the gearbox/battery compartment but this might be hard to do. Consider taping up areas with electrical tape. Inspect your RIF after the game and make sure it can dry out. I fucked my AUG by not doing this after a Longmoor game where it poured all day.

Search function also would have helped you find info on this... but like the above says^ Generally if my RIF has got fairly wet ill give it the usual clean but stick it in the airing cupboard to dry out. Waterproofs are handy but if they are gortex you will most likely sweat so make sure that you have a change of clothes with you so you dont then get stupidly cold. Generally when looking for waterproofs I go for clothing that has airvents under the arms or somewhere else so I can at least regulate my body under the gortex but base layers are a good way to go as well.
Saying that, I've never had a problem with Mil-Ponchos

Repeated for emphasis. Ponchos are more breathable than jackets. I don't play in the rain any more because I'm a big girl's blouse, but when I do have to risk melting in the wet, I wear a poncho.

Unless Im particularly desperate to play, if heavy rain is forecast Id fuck it off and go do something else ? Ive been airsofting long enough now that I dont feel the urge to play in uncomfortable weather! Though airsofting in the snow is fun. Rain is just cold miserable and wet. Also if you are going do make sure your gun is waterproof! Obviouslyh easier on some models of gun than others. Mates CM16 got caught in a downpour and just went mental full auto in the safe zone until he pulled the battery out! Lucky the mag was already out.

I cant understand how weather is even a subject of conversation anymore, more just common sense. If its raining, wear something that stops the rain. If its hot, drink plenty of water and wear less if poss (swap from PC to chest rig for example) hardly rocket science when weather is involved or am I missing something? like @Tiercel said if its actually proper shit outside I wont bother, a few showers is nothing really that cumbersome to play through but generally looking after your stuff like anything else you own goes a long way.
added to my list of cheap things Roger recommends heh.
Having 1 of these in my bag might convince me to go on a day with a chance of rain.

Literally over half the players, around 50, packed up and tried to go home - but weren't allowed, because the game was still in play and a convoy escort couldn't be set up. Most people ended up staying in their cars for the remaining four hours.

Your definition of all day is strange.
People who pack up and want to go home either don't prepare and bring appropriate stuff or need mummy to accompany them to games more often.

It's common sense.
A poncho is €10 and covers all your gear. A DPM MVP jacket is made of proper Gore-Tex fabric and is cheaper than dirt (I paid €40 for mine in Italy, I am pretty sure you can get one for much less), waterproof trousers are €10 too. Boots should already be waterproof, if not, you did something wrong.
Also playing in the rain is awesome

This is a pleasure hobby. If people aren't enjoying it, why would they make themselves miserable by persevering?
Go on though, try and harangue folk into playing it by belittling them.
See if that results in anything other than them coming to resent both it, and you.

I couldn't care less.
If I go to a game and half the people that turned up fuck off because they cant handle a bit of rain thus ruining my day because they cant come equipped to play through differing weather I struggle to see why I shouldn't take the piss.. if its a hobby you enjoy enough to want to play year round outside but don't take the precautionary equipment to do so again why is that everyone else's problem and why should their day suffer because people cant have common sense enough to buy a cheap bit of gortex to cover them through the rain...
Longmoor as a site would be absolute shit with just 50 players left to play the day, its a huge site. Knowing the over heads for the site I'd be furious that half the players just went and sat in their cars because of rain. The site has well over 30 playable buildings that should you wish, you could hunker down in and defend without getting even remotely damp.
Edit: Every hobby is a pleasure hobby or why else would you do it... can you imagine if rugby got called off because one half of the players didn't want to get their shirts wet!?

That's my bad, it was raining loads in the morning but you still got the odd 30m of sun as well. From 1pm it was relentless.
And yeah you're right about the game results - once it was clear the rain was there to stay and people started to pack up, the game lost all sense of direction and most of the village was a ghost town. People hunkered in buildings in the centre but the rest was deserted.
