  1. In honesty, I'm not gonna bother with the guy; he's fucked me over once and i aint making the same mistake again on asking him to pay for parts as he'll try n dump all that shit on me because his saving grace is "you opened the gearbox." yet he ripped the warranty stickers off to begin with....flipping idiot -.- All i wanted was a simple SAW to M4 swap. not as simple as i thought but it'll be fun to learn how to upgrade a gearbox, and to hopefully show off what someone with ACTUAL technical experience can do; he'll be begging to take it back!
  2. I can tell your going to be my favourite moderator! xD Still, £90 posted doesnt sound too bad, but the gun is quite practically in bits. And despite the guy screwing me over, i opened up the gearbox in an attempt to fix it. after telling him, he said, and i quote "If you think your going to give me back my m4 YOU broke, even after opening a £160 gearbox, im well within my rights to refuse." Im still pretty pissed about this douche taking the high ground and not owning up to it. Granted it's my own fault on a number of areas: Didnt check to see the gun actually fired; granted it dry fired, but isn't enough proof. It was a swap in the middle of the night...-.- But in fairness, i dont see much of a hard issue, considering all i need is a new piston/set of piston teeth and possibly a new hopup system. My brother is thinking of getting one of those cheap £30 gearboxes online n swapping over parts from the Lonex, but im not sure if it's worth the trade off if the piston parts are cheaper to replace. Then again, i know next to nothing about AEG's or gearboxes (though I am learning pretty quickly) Either way, Everyone who reads the thread has the mofo's name; so don't be surprised if you see him tryna hock off a "Custom M249"
  3. Well looking at the parts ive got, the motor is an EG-1000 TM motor, which doesnt seem to even engage the bevel gear. As well as that, one of the piston teeth has literally broke itself out, ripping out of the piston. From the looks of it, i'm gonna be running on spares until i buy a new gearbox i can upgrade Hell, i even have my bros CAA M4 Sportsline as my main now, so should that break down somewhere i can swap out the parts n make me a mean machine!
  4. Goes by the name Ciaran Richard Haughey; didn't buy it through the forum, however, found him based on a airsoft sales site on facebook.
  5. Well sounds like he's had me then haha. looks like im building an M4 Anyone know decent inexpensive recommended motors/hopups?
  6. In reality, most of us don't find any of this crap funny at all because it poses a serious threat to the sport as a whole, that us REAL players actually enjoy: imagine that RIF's would be completely inert and/or possibly illegal to obtain and possess because of idiots like THIS, and its other people like this group of hardcore g-star d**kheads who want to run round and point guns in peoples faces who deserve a swift american-style ending of getting lit the fuck up by a SWAT team. So in reality; I'd rather there be less idiots like this that actually get shot than lose the privilege in playing a sport that does more good than harm....depending on the IQ level of it's players
  7. Well considering the guy's part list and the dry firing to hear the ROF (Which is monsterous), it does sound like it'll put some heads down (if it works) and might be worth abit more than the SAW just on the parts alone, considering a new SAW will set someone back £280. As long as my seller isn't trying to screw me over, which is still a possibility, I'll have faith in his ability to actually try and give a good trade off.
  8. Well i've been chatting to the seller who isn't that far from me whos willing to take it back in and have a look; even said that the hop rubber might be the issue. Regardless, if all else fails, I'm on the fence whether to keep the gun and sell the parts or retrieve my m249 (In working condition, considering he's looking to change the motor)
  9. Hey all, Recently just swapped out my M249 for a full custom M4 build that "cost at least over £400", and was hoping I could get an insight into the internal build quality to see if it's actually worth the apparent price, judged from the parts it has. I'm not exactly a gearhead when it comes to AEG's (I'm more accustomed to GBB's), I'm dependent on my favourite ever-growing forum to help clear the air Ultimate Gearbox w/full Lonex internals G&G Standard metal hopup Unknown barrel make, but is a silver 16 inch silver barrel that unscrews partway to attach a silencer. GFC M4 Reciever body TM motor As well as this, I've found that theirs no compression whatsoever when it comes to firing my magazines, and the trigger locks up fairly often, even when dry firing. Can i assume that the piston head is otherwise F**ked, as problem #1?
  10. Id report him regardless of the outcome personally.though it wouldnt surprise me if he created a new acccount after running into this thread xD EDIT: looking at the profile feedback on zeroin, he's had 4 recent buyers give positive feedback; he's either fixed the error of his ways or deleted the majority of negative feedback (if your allowed to do that). Id take it with a grain of salt and try get in contact with him one last time; no reply, full frontal callout across the sport of this D-bag.
  11. Quick question; Anyone know any helmets aside from the FAST or army issued helmets for less than £20?

    1. SeniorSpaz87

      SeniorSpaz87

Ebay it. There are plenty of cheap replica helmets based on everything from WWI helmets to modern stuff.

Depends on the quality you want. You can get a plastic M88 for £12-£15,

  12. I'm amazed people even get away with crap like this when it comes to selling gear. Easy enough if the gun don't work and you find the issue and fix it easily, even if the gun was bought on a bargain, but the moment i saw that bent recoil spring,....jesus, this guy needs to be the posterchild for how to get lit up during a game! I very nearly had a similar case when I got my M32 GL; the guy didnt specify that it was two toned, the locking spring lost tension and did next to nothing and the stock position teeth were worn to f***. But, for £85 alongside an easy fix, ended up being the biggest steal in terms of owning one But yeah, Name and shame the guy. hunt him down, get his details, spread them across all his active boards and take it up with higher authorities. If you're lucky, you can get him done under the sales of goods act 1979; selling you something faulty without the backup of a guarantee, or evidence prior to the sale that it worked. Not sure if this covers personal transactions. Edit: Here's a statement from someone at paypal concerning a similar issue: "When a payment has been sent through the PayPal website, you only have 45 days from when the payment was sent in order to open a dispute on the transaction to try and get your money back. If the 45 day timeframe has passed, you can't open a dispute on the transaction through your account. The next thing that I need to advise you is that Personal/Gift transactions are not covered under our Buyer Protection Policy. We would only advise that if you are purchasing goods or services that you select the correct options when making the payment through your account. This means that even if you were trying to open a dispute within 45 days from when the payment was sent, we would not be able to investigate it as it was sent as a Personal payment." My best advice for you would be to contact your local police in order for them to investigate it further on your behalf. If your police require, they can contact PayPal directly in order to request any information that they need to assist them with their investigations.
  13. Just a quick post, anyone know any decent upgrades for the 3PX4? considering this "HK/WE" model is essentially TM compatible, im hoping theres a trustworthy way to increase the FPS, such as changing the barrel/spring/nozzle/etc that has been found firsthand? Links appreciated.
  14. Welcome to the forum, inferno good to see a fellow noob join the ranks of the meatshields That being said, on the account of what type of gun you want(It's best to be ukara'd first), take into account the sort of field your playing in; considering it's gonna vary between woodland and CQB, starting off electric is your best bet, with a gas sidearm i might add. and should you upgrade your primary to a gas blowback in the future, you have an electric to fall back on, should the need arise. Budget wise, I wouldn't go blowing it all on guns; really, facial protection, boots and a vest (optional) are your PRIMARY concerns, which also form part of the loadout you want to go for, as well as the role you wish to play within games; rifleman, sniper, support, scout, etc. go for the gear that best suits your playstyle; the beginners tips should really cover most of that. Personally, the only help i can give, being 1 game away from a ukara myself (and getting a chrome slide PX4 from one of the marshals on the day..... ) I can only give general playstyle tips and recommended prices; hey, it's your money, but buy well instead of buying twice. Don't go running at the enemy unless you live for battle-scars. coordinate with your team/squad effectively, call out enemy positions wherever you see them, and it at all possible, suppress/flank them. Always take cover BODY SHOTS! I've seen way too many people get lit up in the grill at 20m range to the point their mesh mask bent out of place, or even leave a bleeding welt. as fun as it is to do, its a H+S issue, so not recommended unless you wanna blind someone! and if you must shoot them in the face, dont aim for the eyes and dont go full auto, a double tap will suffice, unless they dont call their hits.... DONT be one of those idiots that walk around the streets of london showing off his newly bought RIF AK in an attempt to look hard; alongside eyepro, a well built gunbag to transport your gear from A to B is just as necessary. Other than that, stay with your team, get a feel for the field and have a good day As for that weaponry-based budget, a wise recommendation from personal experience ranges from this: Primary - £200-300 Secondary - £100 Vest - £50 (Depends if your going for a empty MOLLE vest or a full setup) Boots - £30-40 Face protection - £20 Gunbag - £30 And that's not even accounting for the magazines and ammo/gas & provisions you'll need, just for the day! Trust me, there's a fair bit of research needed before making a well informed choice. P.S: Some sites for gear: Military1st.co.uk Airsoftworld.net
  15. And then proceed to bash them in the face with said paintball gun....repeatedly.
  16. Pretty damn chuffed :) got a deal with a guy from fireball's management; Alongside me getting my ukara on the day, also bought a PX4 with 2 mags for £85 ;) registration present galore!

strange, my WE Glocks hop is sh*t too.

probably something you've already done, but I stripped my hop unit out, de greased everything and put it all back together ensuring everything was tight. I had a 1911 which had no lift, turns out the hop lever had slipped of the hop wheel so wasn't actually applying any pressure.

My WE G17 can hit a coke can at around 15-20 meters, which I think is pretty good. It's a US G17, but I doubt that would change anything.

  17. Just to clarify from the very start, this gun that has become the bane of my life, and not even been skirmished ONCE. it has resulted in some funnage as backyard plinking fun, but didnt even go a year without having an issue; all because the hard recoil made it feel well over the 400 FPS limit, and the supposedly fittable NPAS kit began to make my life hell for this gun. Anyway: General Overview When i shot the first round, gassed up on green and 0.2's, my jaw dropped & i flinched like hell; the recoil on this gun is beyond astounding; more so than you'd find on the M27, which shocked me to a large extent. and the best part? it was on single shot; Full auto was something else entirely. Amazing none the less. Alongside the recoil, is it's accuracy; pretty decent, even for a 60-70 feet spray, and with the adjustable hop-up, located directly above the flash hider, it's very simplistic and disables all the issue of fiddling with the bolt to attempt to change the hop-up. Now, gas efficiency within the mags is decent, at best. on a cold day in February, at least 8 degrees, i got 2 mags worth out of a 40 round magazine. That being said, the cooldown is worrying but not as bad as what i saw recently with my friends G18c extended mags; literally froze up the slide catch and fire selector within 6 shots. never touched it again. Think the feeding nozzle is fucked, but regardless, not my problem Finally, the overall build of the gun itself felt solid and durable, and considering the build of nylon fiber/polymer was used primarily on the body of the gun, with the rails and some internal parts being metal, the weight came as a surprise. The bolt was a big chunk of metal, all one piece in comparison to the TM bolt (as of which, i'm unsure if its compatible with the VFC body...?) Now all is well and good from what you've read, but heres the real kicker...... The internals are SHIT. To begin with, the biggest issue of the entire gun itself; the nozzle return spring is by far the worst i've ever seen. the spring is of such a weak quality metal, it WILL have a tendency to bend over itself and uncoil itself whenever possible; this proves that point justifiably. And the worse part? this isn't even an old spring; I got this spring THIS MORNING, fired 2 magazines through it, and the nozzle decided to not feed properly and jam into the system. this is the result of poor quality control and lack of securing the spring correctly. I've even gotten desperate to the point of attaching this spring(chopping the f**ked up part off) the original & the 2nd of my brand new springs together and epoxy-ing the back of the spring to the nozzle to ensure it doesn't move during firing. No doubt something won't go wrong here! *Sarcasm* The bolt overall is of very,VERY cheaply built aluminium. the threads where the screws are situated for securing the spring and nozzle are easily worn down to the point where the screws can just as easily slip in an out, much like a nun who forgot her vows... The price for this gun (£250) is decent for what your getting, but considering you'll end up buying another bolt like i am just to leave well enough alone, it's well not worth it. So far, the pricing comes up to this: MP7 - £210 (Discount from a retailer ) 2 Replacement return nozzle springs - £10 2 Magazines - £80 Soon to be bought replacement bolt - £40 Overall, we're looking at £340; nearly a £100 increase just to see if the damn thing works! My best advice? AVOID VFC GAS GUNS AT ALL COSTS. They are clearly new the gas-operated field of Airsoft weaponry, and should stick to the electric counterparts until they find an alternative to their scantily built bolt systems.
  18. Well most people, from what i know, tend to upgrade the TM model with metal slide anyway; and even then, the WE model is compatible with the TM magazines, which i do like. havent heard many bad things about the WE model, and i tend to avoid TM due to most of their lineup consists of plastic slides/recievers. Then again, saying that, I can personally say to NOT to go anywhere near the VFC GBB lineup; have a partially bust MP7 bagged under my bed and awaiting some replacement return nozzle springs to repair it, which were a BITCH to get hold of; easy to take down, but there's next to nothing when needing instructions for where everything is/goes afterward.
  19. To my knowledge, its illegal in every way, shape and form to imitate a police officer. Anyway, If i knew these asshats made more videos of pointing a gun at people and/or officers, especially paintball guns, then personally, they deserve to be shot. i'm waiting for them to move up to gas airsoft weapons n run round so then we'll get the blame for these idiots -.-
  20. Considering i have ~£100 to spend on a decent pistol i can finally call my own that ISN'T a glock, I've eyed up this beauty, alongside one of the dragons from WE's hi-cap series. Regardless of that, Can anyone give me an insight to this particular model? from what i know, it's well worth the asking retail price of Airsoft World, and compared to the TM model, which is £200 for an all plastic gun, I'd think it's worth it. Also, can it run on propane? Some reviews say it's okay, but a closer source (a friend of a friend) said his slide blew to bits.
  21. Get a load of this complete tw*t! Slightly infuriates me with dumbasses like this -.-
  22. This i can actually vouch for; a friend of mine recently started the biggest impulse buy of weapons and gear ive seen over a course of a month or 2, and only ever played a single CQB game which was last year; Scar-L, CAA M4, 2 Dragon 7.1's, 1 Dragon 5.1, EoTech 556 sight, and some other stuff we're spose to pick up from a friend this saturday. had our 2nd game at fireball saturday just gone, and the thursday prior, he pulled out entirely and sold his kit for at least 300; biggest waste i've ever seen.
  23. That's just one thing though; how is ukara hard to understand? it just shows people and the local police that your an airsofter and have a legal obligation to own the guns that arent two-tone and even buy RIF's. the rest of it aswell as the VCRA is child's play....
  24. Hardly trolling? i'm genuinely interested about everyones opinion upon the whole thing, and considering im still a noob at the sport, it'd be nice to know if its worth the trouble. and i would look through all the numerous threads, but yeah, just people bitching about it, which is what i want to avoid.
  25. So i have 1 more game left at Fireball before im to be UKARA registered; however, considering it's abit of a grey covered area of discussion, what's everyones personal view on the whole VCRA and UKARA registration shizzle? Last I checked, calling it a license makes some people lose their shit Let the opinion war commence!
