  1. It was just because this chair had sharp edges, I was shooting at brick walls etc they would just bounce off at 200mph lol. and to reply to jimmy, yeah was wondering because they seemed fine
  2. welcome seen you around, nice photo shop skills btw
  3. welcome. nice gun btw hope you like these forums!
  4. welcome, is green zone any good btw? subbed also
  5. I saw frizzles post on bull$hit ammo, but I have bought these excel bbs. They were pretty much perfect on the outside except for a small line going right through the middle (I presume when they put the two halves together or whatever). Anyway, I was shooting at this chair with holes in it, and I realised they were splitting in half. I pick 5 up that I can find, and they all have perfect spherical bubble holes in the middle. Is this meant to be? I will try and upload some pics, can't get my camera to focus atm.
  6. oops sorry, didn't read carefully enough. Why not try say an l85? or an AK variant. I find the G&G rk103 evo to be sexy asf imo
  7. Hey there guys, some of you may know I recently bought a G&G cm16 carbine. I bought from zerooneairsoft, and had it two toned. Out of the box, it smelled of cheap paint, and the green was not perfectly painted on. When I got the gun, I noticed a few things. Firstly, the paint wasn't amazing, secondly, it looked really good quality, and thirdly, the flash hider is the opposite (eg left = tighten, which is a bugger if you want to put it on.) As I had expeiences in the past with bad stocks, I was relieved to find out the stock tube was fully metal, thus ensuring a slick procedure back and forth (no dirty minds plox ). The overall attention to detail is pretty good, and it doesn't look too much like a £120 gun (apart from 2 tone obvs). The magazine is a normal m4 mag, however I would look into mid caps, because since emptying 2000 rounds through my gun, It seems my fingers are quite sore from all of the cog doing up. THE GUN: It came with a flash hider, never to be used again for me, and a cleaning rod and some bbs. On a side note, when I took the gun out, I found the trigger to be quite stiff, and for about 30 mins, it was actually jammed in place. It hasn't happened since, and I believe it must be the trigger needed wearing in. The quality felt good, except for the upper reciever, which is plastic and not attached to the lower part. This is presumably so that you can get to the internals, however if you press on it, it does go in and out and makes a clicking sound, which makes the gun feel cheap. The cranestock is quite hard to get off at first, and after that you will find it becomes much easier, however some of the two tone comes off in the process. Overall, IDM it because in a way it makes the gun look used and therefore realistic, but 2 tone can only be so realistic lol. A point I had with it was whenever I put the stock against my shoulder, the sling point would dig into my shoulder. Nothing an allan key couldn't fix, and I have taken it off. That brings me to my next point: shooting. For me out of the box, it wasn't hot or anything. The hop up was just right, however with the wind etc I decided to take the top sight off, because I felt it limited my pov. left to right. This is preferance. As i said, the trigger feels nice now and the reaction speed is pretty good, not systema but all you need for your first gun. I was able to pull quite a few bbs down the garden on semi, but then again I'm known to have a fast hand (just stop it now ....) anyways, the battery I bought is a 7.4v cranestock lipo 2600mah, And I reckon, atm somehow could get 7000 shot out of it... That will go down I guess to 2600. It fits nicely in and powers the gun very well. Once you know how to charge, it is easy and takes not much time at all to get it fully charged again, you just have to be careful. The gun and the left side is very neat, partly because of the CM16 logo. There is a big point on the right side, so I normally have it right up (in case it marks a sofa for example) The right side is quite cheap looking with CE and a picture of a bin, but it is livable. The hp up system is hard to get to and the thing behind the sights can be moved from side to side, making it feel cheap. I will update this with the internals etc... IF YOU ARE THINKING OF GETTING THE RAIDER, I WOULDN'T. THIS IS CHEAPER, YOU CAN UPGRADE STOCK, AND IS JUST AS GOOD, AND BETTER LOOKING. Overall 8.5 out of ten for me. It is a very good first gun and I would recommend it for anybody!
  8. ok thanks for the info. Does anybody know a good airsoft site that has cheap postage? can't seem to find one
  9. I literally have £4.50 to spend on some pellets. Would these be any good or should I wait for a bit to buy anything better? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-AIRSOFT-BB-BULLET-PELLETS-BB-GUNS-6MM-2000-BULLETS-7-DIFFERENT-COLOURS-/271305919173?pt=UK_SportingGoods_OtherSports&var=&hash=item3f2b17cac5 EDIT: if anyone can point in the direction of cheap good quality bb pellets with free postage. NEED .20
  10. G&G scar Ls are very nice, my mate has one. The only problem is that they are quite hot, and would need a lower spring otherwise you wouldn't be able to skirmish. I like the G&P/TM m4's. They are meant to be great and very durable. Finally, the G&G cm16 carbine would do nicely for your mate, I have one and they are very good quality imo for the price you pay. Hope this helps
  11. I have had mine like a day, put around 2000bbs through it. Idk what your problem is, but when I got my gun everything was quite stiff. At one point I couldn't pull the trigger. I had to wait and keep trying, but now its worn in. Maybe you should try the same, but if it is an actual problem try contacting G&G : guay2.com If that doesn't work contact pro airsoft supplies and if all else fails maybe go to a store where they can have a look at it? Hope this helps and GL
  12. to be honest, I use a pair of lab goggles from my science department that I nicked. Before anyone rants, they are good quality, and we have tested them from point blank. No scratches or anything. Only wear what you feel is comfortable. For example, for a skirmish I would wear full face mask (have to) but a garden battle is more relaxed. Still, safety always comes first, so make sure whatever you buy, is good quality. High end market = bolle and oakleys. Oakleys are destructible: there are lots of professional videos but just look at this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FvsWd1NoXYo
  13. don't worry guys lets not start an argument over what is right voltage... hanks you all for your help
  14. G&G cm16 carbine 2 tone accucel 6 digital charger 2600mah LiPo cranestock excel bbs
  15. thanks for your help guys, I have successfully put 1000 rounds through my gun in about 30 mins lol
  16. this is my charger, and battery. FIrstly, what is that white small thing. there is a small hole that it fits into in the charger, is this a balancer? also what does S mean. E.G it says 2s on my charger. What does this mean, as I can change it. Finally, this battery is 2600mah and 25c and 16wh (no idea what that means). how many volts should i charge it to then?
  17. thats actually pretty nice lol
  18. yeah don't worry talked to lozart. I can change the volts on my charger, so will use around 15v i think
  19. http://trust.com/en/all-products/17566-90w-laptop-charger--black this is my laptop cahrger. I think the first (lowest) connector could work with the charger for my lipo?
  20. ok, this is kind of awkard. I have already bought hose items in the link. I'm sure the block power has the same connector as another thing, so I will dig around.
  21. wait, i thought 12v power supply = 3pin into the double pronged thingy (dat description) which you can plug into your playstation etc? if so, I have 100s of them
  22. As many of you are aware, I am new to airsoft. I love the sport already, and have bagged myself: combat kit from CCF including, army boots, army combats (top bottom and smock) and a tactical vest kind of thing. I also have: glasses and for when i skirmish, a full face mask. Finally, I have a two tone G&G cm16 carbine, and a 7.4v crane stock LiPo with what I believe to be a smart charger. I want to A) have immense fun, obviously, but want to play safe with batteries etc. I have come into contact with LiPos before, however I have no knowledge to be honest of them. I know you aren't meant to drain the battery out too much, and if you hit them with a stick they will blow up. However, will the charger stop charging when it is full? And how long will that roughly take. Also, what happens if you drop a lipo. To me, that looks like a similar effect to smacking it, but is it true. Finally, what happens if the LiPo comes into contact with water? Obviously I won't be running it under a tap, but the cranestock on my gun has holes in the top. Should I do anything about this? BTW: will the charger in the link charge my battery straight out of the box, and is mini tamiya what I was meant to choose for the battery? Thanks everybody for your contribution, and this doesn't just have to be for me. I'm sure many people don't actually know some of these questions, so feel free to ask them yourself! happy airsofting!
