  1. Hmm I replaced that with a standard cylinder head and it fit fine? Did you use the same piston in the new gearbox shell?
  2. Hey guys, I'm having trouble with a friend's g&p sentry m4 version 2 gearbox. I cant seem to get the fps up past 260 on 0.2g bbs. I think I've figured out though as the piston is being clamped in as the last owner has put a nuprol piston in it. Does anyone with experience of this brand know what other parts of the gearbox are not your standard v2? So far I see that the piston is probably smaller, the tappet plate is also different. Where can I get a factory piston for this gearbox?
  3. Brilliant thanks guys. Hopefully thats the cause of my feeding issues!
  4. They're BioSphere ones. I can't seem to find anything to say if they have this coating on them.
  5. Hi guys, I've got some bio BBs that I've had laying about for just under a year. Can these have enlarged or deformed to cause feeding issues?
  6. Brilliant guys exactly what I need! I think i'll buy the parts and make one myself. It's not rocket surgery
  7. Hi guys, Anyone know where else I can buy a 70D Sorbo pad for my cylinder head? Airlab is currently out of stock
  8. This ^. Check everything is running smoothly and the gears spin freely.
  9. Could be the semi-auto cut-off lever in the gearbox worn down so that it barely cuts the cycle between shots while it's firing. You'll need a new one, I think the UAR uses a version 3 gearbox so it will need one for this type of gearbox.
  10. Jingles I didn't know you airsoft'd! (As opposed to playing WOT!)
  11. No experience with Airlab myself, but what time did you make the order on Monday? If it was late afternoon then chances are you won't receive your good until tomorrow. Maybe give it a bit of time?
  12. OK mate will do Sounds good! I'm not sure about the buffer tube on the am-013 but the flash hider thread is CC I think. The motor connectors falling off is a bit shoddy though!
  13. OK mate, thanks for the input it's exactly what I need to help me make my decision
  14. Not so unique then. . OK thanks I plan on running a 11.1v lipo in it too. Yes but I don't think having a separate MOSFET and the old trigger system is as snappy as the fire control switch setup in the Amoeba series gearboxes? Are you sure it's not the old non-Amoeba Ares rifles you've heard about the internals? I've heard this too but I'm hoping the Amoeba ones are better and they do seem to be thus far. Yes it runs TM STANAGS so you can use other mags if you don't like them, but personally I like them as it takes it slightly further away from the M4 look.
  15. Well met follow Fort-er . And here was me thinking I would have a rare rifle when i got the am-013 and returned to The Fort! Oh well I do still want it. Two months and still going seems good enough to me, do you know what kind of battery he was using? Yes but you can use an Ares EFCS to program the am-013 and it has a quick change spring. I like how modular it is
  16. Hi guys, I'm putting some serious thought in getting one of these rifles. The only thing really holding me back is the talk of Ares gearboxes having a bad track record (bad gears and gearbox shell). But I think these Amoeba gearboxes are better though with the electronic firing control and the ability of them to take the ROF on 11.1v lipos (steel gears, full steel piston rack etc) What are all your thoughts on this? Does anyone else have an Ares Amoeba rifle which has been running stock and is still going after a few months? Thanks
