Hi to all, So I said I would video myself fitting the wolverine SMP into my G&G TR4 EBB gearbox. Having done this without any practise of fitting an SMP I did it very much in the dark, I have experience of gearboxes but most people who do videos like this have done a few before making a video but the purpose is to show how easy it is to fit. At the end I knocked the camera off in error but didn't realise but the box wouldn't close due to the Orange stock ring it had twisted and didn't line up. Also if like me and you get this without the valve needed to connect the air line (not my fault) then how you can test that the trigger is working is to connect the control board up and attached the battery flick it into semi and pull the trigger, you should hear a clicking noise that says it's firing and then flick to full auto and it'll be a continuous noise. I feel happy I have done this myself and whilst it's an easy installation it's just remembering what needs to be removed and where your going to put everything, since my weapon is a front wired weapon I will now have to customise the stock bolt to allow the cable to run through. Once I have the valve I will run a video of this running and how long is takes to set it up.

So since June I have been waiting for my Wolverine SMP unit. The main delay was the middle man making the order but I went to collect it today and I have it at last. A few pics of the unit etc. The third pic though the connector on the right I expected that to have the 1/8 adapter on but typically it doesn't so although I can now build my project I cannot test it until I get my hands on one and no where in the UK sells them so had to go state side again :-(. Also to add this purchase only comes with one bottle the additional has been bought separately. -
the base weapon is a G&G TR4 CQB-H

Thanks man, cost a pretty penny in the end. It has been worth it just a shame it's two colours lol so had to try even it out

Take the silencer off and its a standard flash hider but on an SMP the silencer makes it even more quite. the SAA on the side is a vinyl I've made as a test to see how it looks.

was thinking that as well. The diablo does look good though

Don't know which to have on my SMP. ICS QD Silencer or Diablo flash hider.....

First and Only Airsoft Bolton woodland
Qlimax replied to Almightybeardedkial's topic in New Players & Arrivals
I've been F&O Bolton. Wasn't my cup of tea. My experience was that the staff like to make themselves look big and hard and like they it all about Airsoft. they didn't warn anyone or new people that the first game would last a few hrs so bring some extra BBs in a pouch or what ever and they didn't allow people to go off game to reload so using mid caps left me and some other sitting ducks. Me personally I didn't like the place, the staff and their attitude and with that I won't play there or any of their sites. Luckily I'd had a number of games behind me so I bitten by the big but I think had that been my first game I'd have questioned if I could be arsed with shot like that. -
jcheese you have to be the most biggest ARSE on this forum. The mags work in my weapon just not properly but they seem to work in his that is NOT an uncommon thing with mags. like my Pmags work in all my weapons but strangely NOT IN HIS. Just like Dytac mags they feed excellent in mine but not in his. His MAG mags don't feed in mine do they do in his. Oh how I laugh at your arrogants grow up you child.
-
So tried these in my mates M4 today and it would appear it's just my weapons as they worked like a dream in his two M4's.......

well they don't anyway lol. they go in when you open the into two then pop one in and close back up it don't move. so given up with them. I have done some testing on my mid caps today and I think the main problem are the springs. even with .20g BBs in the first few sorta spit out then it'll shoot them full power and every 10 shots it'll miss three BBs and spit two out. then once the mag is down to the last 20 or so they don't feed at all. when I empty the mags out into my hand you can feel they just dribble out rather than coming out with a little force behind them from the spring I am hoping that when the springs go in they'll perform much better

Airlabs have cleared the issue with regards to these not being released. The ones HSA were referring to which I quoted on there site weren't released but the ones I have are the new redesigned ones. Airlabs have offered me full help on installation of which way they go in and if after this I am not happy they will allow me to return for a refund
-
The maker said they aren't the best and that's why hey weren't released
-
don't know bud it's just getting worse and worse.
-
the followers that have been recommended to me to buy from Airlabs are copies. Hunterseeker who makes these has confirmed they were never released and is surprised to find I have two sets here with me.
-
just noticed this. I know how to fit the standard spring etc. I meant I ant sure on how these HSA followers would be fitted, are they like just screwed directly on to the spring then just pushed in as normal ? which way would i need to make sure they are etc. this is them, received today.
-
yeah got them from here in the UK, have sent the supplier an email to try resolve before I take any further.
-
The only problem is I have paid for new springs etc but may as well fit them. Also have 30,000 BBs that are dodgy lol at least they work in my Hi caps so can blast them away in my SMP
-
So I have just ran a BB test on a few different brands I have available and I must say ANNOYED isn't the word. King arms .25g - fed perfectly entire mag G&G .25g - as above Blaster .25g - as above. BUT I have around 30,000 .25s which I bought believing they were Blaster .25s but not in their original bottle/bags. Anyway so they are the ones I have been testing on and they never feed at all but having tried just now all the other brands and actual brands they all fed perfectly. So not only have I spent £100 on fake blaster .25s and on top £53 on new springs and followers only to find it's the damn BBs. Now it's stupid as I didn't put it down to those as they work perfectly in my hi caps but obviously they would. NOT HAPPY AT ALL.
-
So I have tried the following brands. G&G own mid caps. CAA Dytac Magpul. Worked better but not fully. I have also tried the Beta project Pmags they wouldn't even fit lol. so I am goin to upgrade the springs in the G&G mags I have and see what happens with those. My mate has the exact same ones and his feed .25s no probs. Think it will do a BB test as well. Use my .25s then his and see if there's a difference. have tried fewer BBs but to run 120rd mid caps with only 30-50 BBs in I may as well change to low caps.
-
Yeah defo pissing me off I've tried nearly all mid caps so far bar a few and none feed .25s if I put 30-50 in the mid cap they feed but anymore or fill and nothing. This is why I am turning to upgrades to see if it makes a difference. The only other conclusion is its the BBs them self
