Taiwangun Shipping Disruption (Brexit Related Content)

Given that TG's UK prices change as the exchange rate fluctuates, I am not sure that they are skimming anything off. If the item was put in his basket a while ago, there may have been enough fluctuation to account for the difference. -

Taking off 23% VAT would have resulted in a price of £107.94; the reduction is approximately 20% of the non-VAT price (£110.59) Exchange rate fluctuations may have had an impact. -

Orders above £135 also attract import duty, which can range from 0% to 25% of the item’s value depending on what it is, what material it is made from and its declared value. -

Sadly, I agree; a friend who is a rather well-published virologist is not exactly optimistic that we will beat this at all unless we lock the borders, take much stronger action within the UK and get the vaccine distribution sorted out. The recently reported mutations are really worrying virologists and immunologists. As he also pointed out, even if we get on top of it in the UK, it might be many years before it is really under control in other parts of the world. -
I hope that his family can take some comfort from knowing that he was a truly remarkable man who inspired an entire nation. Respect is earned and he certainly earned it.

I cannot read your mind, only what you write. A friend of mine was the guitarist in Sigue Sigue Sputnik for a while.

That is one of the most ludicrous statements that I have read in the last hour.

That would be very poor reporting as it is a 100% increase.

That works with my SLR and bayonet as well :).

People in the UK can own firearms if they choose to and pass all the checks and balances. The problem with what you suggest is that it would lead to a lot more guns in circulation, which means lots more opportunities for criminals to obtain guns and, in true American style, more people shooting each other. If people are going to have guns for self defence, those guns are not going to be safely locked away as they are now, so they are much more vulnerable to theft or "borrowing" by disturbed teenagers who decide that killing their classmates is the best way of dealing with their own inadequacy. Perhaps you can explain why, outside of certain extremely limited situations, anyone in the UK needs to own a firearm?

13 states and DC require checks for all private gun purchases and two require them for handgun purchases only. Three states require state issued firearm permits for all private gun purchases and four require them for private handgun purchases. Therefore, a minority of states require some form of check or permit for private gun purchases. The huge gaping hole in Federal law is plugged by local rules; the exceptions are the states that do require some checks, not those who do not. One basic question: outside of certain extremely limited situations, why does anyone in the UK need to own a firearm? Just for the avoidance of doubt, I have carried firearms, have had them fired at me and have fired them at other human beings. That is why I like strict gun control laws.

At the site I marshalled at, he used to turn up in SS gear with his lad (half Japanese) dressed as a member of the Hitler Youth, which was pretty weird. His Japanese wife/partner would spend all day sitting in the safe zone not talking to the mostly female staff who were there. Someone else told me that he had been in prison in Japan.

Read up on the Private Sale Exemption, sometimes called the Gunshow Loophole. For private sales, any person may sell a firearm to an unlicensed resident of the same state as long as they do not know or do not have reasonable cause to believe the purchaser is prohibited from receiving or possessing firearms under federal law. What you think and the facts are two entirely different things. You cannot stop the lunatics; what you can do is make it more difficult for them to kill people; preventing then owning a gun does that pretty effectively.

Siggi used to play at a site where I marshalled; he is...intense. I tend to agree; I quite like the idea.

Yes, I have read them; in order to enjoy them, one would have to be either strongly supportive of the views contained therein or so stupid that the overt racism and white supremacism was entirely missed. Therefore, the logic holds up. -

So, you read two badly written books in which the protagonists revel in killing "niggers" and "yids" and hanging young white women who sleep with black men, and found them enjoyable and engaging, but are not racist. You are either lying or are just terminally thick. -

You do not have to hear voices or see things that are not there to be schizophrenic. I accept that you are unwell and believe that you are delusional. I regularly deal with people who have mental illnesses and you are showing clear signs of something that is way beyond ADHD. You really do need some professional help. However, I have one, possibly last, question for you; if you are not racist, why do you list The Turner Diaries and Hunter as two of your three favourite books on blogger.com? These openly racist books were written by William Luther Pierce, founder and chairman of the National Alliance, an openly racist and anti-semitic white supremacist Neo-Nazi organisation. This does tend to suggest that your choice of an SS parade uniform was not made solely on the basis that it looks good. -
