    Good Russian or German War films that have English subtitles? I'm learning both languages and watching films seems to help me. Have watched 9th Company, The black Book, Generation War and Siberian Education.

      Not really a war film, unless you count the Cold War, but worth a look is 72 Metpa (72 metres) about a submarine crew trapped under the sea after their modern diesel sub hits an old WW2 mine. It's a very 'Russian' film, so not everyone will get the point of it, or much of the humour, but if you do, then it's worth it. Nice soundtrack too.

      I seem to remember a film about the Russians in Afghanistan called "The Tank" but not sure if it's in Russian?

      Joyeux Noël? Has German and French I think but no German. Very good film though....
