You have a higher chance of winning the lottery back to back than you do a working Ares replica out of the box
-
Had the exact same conclusion when I saw it and thought “ooo I want one of those” He mentioned struggling to remove the delta ring, then the mag part not fitting properly and assumed too much force was put on the lower. Definitely wouldn’t touch it knowing they had it in a vice then had mag fitting issues 😂

Not yet, Ares are undoubtedly still collecting pieces off the ground from it exploding 😂 It's only just been announced, and all that is available currently is the technical drawings it seems

This started out life as a poorly painted Double Bell AKS-74u with a plastic stock, no handguards, no flash hider and a plastic G36 rail bolted to the dust cover. The gearbox in it originally was terrible, the guy I got it from had tried to "upgrade" it and had completely messed it up. I used paint stripper to remove the poor paint job, however it worked really well on some parts (And removed all of the paint and induced rust), I quite liked the look of the "post apocalyptic/found in a hut in Afghan" look so ran with it. I've oiled all of the metal to ensure no rust can spread however may need to be checked over time. I gutted out the gearbox and hop unit and replaced it with a Specna Arms Edge 2.0 AK gearbox and hop unit so there is a basic gate aster inside. The donor gearbox/hop unit was in my Specna 74m which I used bi-weekly for just over a year and it always ran beautifully. Parts fitted externally are: LCT PK-197 LCKS74 Steel Triangle Folding Stock AliExpress Esmarch TQ (Don't actually use it as a TQ please...) LCT ZB-11 Lower Handguard "Classic" LCT ZB-19 Upper Handguard "Classic" Generic wooden AKS-74u upper handguard which had the finish removed and sanded Cyma DTK 1 Steel flash hider Original AK sling (No stamp) Which is over £180 in externals alone The handguards and stock were painted to match the remnants of the tan paint job showing through to "blend it" together. The black band around the handguard is to stop the top handguard popping off when opening the dust cover to insert a battery, the issue is resolved if you fit the ZB-19 upper handguard Please note the magazine in the image isn't included, instead a "bakelite" orange E&L magazine will be included instead as this black mag did not fit the replica It's definitely not the prettiest of AK's, it has some flaws but it works beautifully for what it is. Priced according to the external parts cost as well as the rough price of the Specna gearbox, the "main gun" itself (The Double Bell krink) is barely factored into the pricing due to the condition and appearance. Price includes postage, PayPal G&S only please.180.00 GBP

My beloved LCT VSS Vintorez "DMR", replaced with my want for a RS SVD 😂 DMR is used semi loosely... It's semi locked via mosfet: Gate Aster with the selector modified, I've tried my best to show the sticker in one of the images for the optical sensor, so the auto/semi switch no longer does anything however safety still works (It's a physical safety using the side lever) It could be possible to revert back to semi/auto however I never tried to revert it It has a tight bore inner barrel (6.03mm) which is slightly longer than the stock barrel to ensure it would sit better in the end cap of the suppressor, there's also a 3d printed "spacer" which helps to keep the suppressor lined up with the inner barrel on reassembly, it has a Maple Leaf 60 degree (IIRC) bucking, internal parts have been changed out with AK2M4's AK "Compression" kit which at the time was SHS parts. LCT Gearset remains, and LCT motor Note the motor cage has developed the common cracking, it has been fixed with a strong epoxy as the spare LCT sent me wouldn't fit (???) - It has been used for three games after this fix and there is 0 issues at all. The brown/red mag is a high cap, the rest are mid caps. They (Mid caps) have all had their springs changed from the LCT ones (Except the small mag) as they was pretty old and not feeding great when I bought it. The suppressor screw cap (Where the wiring goes through) used to have grub screw channels to keep the wires from getting damaged - These have been removed to allow the thicker Gate wiring through but they're just standard grub screws if (for some reason) you want to reattach them The rifle doesn't shoot at DMR power, it has a quick spring change system however I found using it sub 350 FPS was beneficial for my play style whilst still having good enough accuracy and distance. There's wear and tear around the rifle, which I've tried to show as best as I can in the images Price includes postage, paypal G&S only please.350.00 GBP

I can't attach an image of the exact placement due to the forum not allowing image uploads (Still no idea why...?) https://www.krale.shop/media/blfa_files/Handleiding_onderdelentekening_-_ICS-87_L85_A2_Carbine_EN_TW_-min.pdf You can see the orientation and position of the spring, it's a fiddley one to get back in so be patient with it and be careful not to bend it out of shape

I may be wrong but if it's the same as this (Looks the same to me?): https://www.kyairsoft.com/uk-we-f229-gbb-pistol-bk-with-rail.html Thanks to KY's new London warehouse, the same pistol with second mag and shipping is only £104.41 for a brand new one

Sorry to break it to you bud but people lie. Not saying/accusing you of lying, but people do lie. I could sell my PKM that's had 100k rounds through it, put in the title "Almost brand new" and chances are people wouldn't know the difference (But that's scummy and tackle would bully me for it) That's literally what this channel is for lol MWS brand new: £475 Barrel (Not sure which you had but we'll use your £70) Due to the two-tone you'll be the lower end of the typical margin at 60% so... 60% of £545 = £327 65% of £545 = £354.25 So, £400 for a two toned MWS with the barrel is unreasonable by typical pre-owned sales This is such a null point, there's a lot of people buying MWS's and keeping them stock because they like the look...
-
As soon as it's fired, even one BB, it's no longer new. Much like when you buy a new car, the moment it's taken off the forecourt it's no longer new. Still money your potential buyer has to pay, meanwhile other MWS's on here are being sold (Not two toned) with NPAS's fitted etc for £450. Also using your own argument, why have you not changed out the two toned furniture? Fire support sell the same handguard (but in black) for £70, that's £70 somebody else has to pay to get rid of the blue handguard. The potential buyer has to also want that barrel otherwise it's useless tat to them, you'd be better splitting that separately. You can get a brand new MWS from HPA-UK right now for £475. To get your MWS, even with the steel barrel, you'd be spending £80 odd to replace the handguard and stock, meaning you'd be paying £5 more for a preowned MWS with a barrel you probably don't want, when you can buy one certified brand new for £5 less
-
“Basically new” Less than “200 rounds through it” ”Has a different outer barrel” Not basically new then is it you weapon 🙄

Anyone heard from Ben/Raresoft the past few weeks? Sent him a message and email to find out what's going on with the BREN (He said 4 weeks, 7 weeks ago) and now radio silence 😕 Edit/Update: He was away last week, all resolved now 🙂

Still can't post images but here is my general thoughts summed up in the form of a meme: https://ibb.co/1GD1WqN9 -
They've been around for a while I thought, just they was limited to the JSDF? Or are they now allowing the public to buy them too?
-
Sounds expensive... Looks like the bolt may move too like the EBB's 🤔
-
I’m excited for it because it should be full steel and that wood looks beautiful but I really hope they’ve learnt from the PKP and made it more standardised (Like the A&K) so parts are easy to replace/upgrade
-
Gonna be £1.6k minimum I bet
-
Nope 😂 Still a poor design choice in every m249 style gearbox, but it's a £3 fix at least
-
The A&K m60 series is a solid contender, very easy to work on when it eventually goes down. Just be cautious of the feeding mechanism and making sure the tube doesn't get crinkled as well as making sure the internal feed tube also is positioned properly. I've always avoided anything Ares just on principle so can't speak on that one The Novritsch SSR249 (Not owned one personally) would be good I assume, the other few Novrtisch AEGs I've had and/or worked on have all been solid. Although my only video I've seen of one was the youtuber who had his catch on fire (I assume that's been QC fixed by now?!) Krytacs are good, when they work. When they break, it's usually some form of slightly out of regular spec thing which makes them a bastard to fix up. @HuttArmouries had an LCT RPD for a cracking price, not sure if he still has it though Alternatively, if you want to try the LMG role without investing too much (Make sure your site counts them as an LMG first) a Cyma RPK could be a good way to dip your toes into that side of the gameplay without spending a fortune I've primarily been an LMG gunner for my friend group for the past 4 years and I've loved it so much. However, you have to factor in that you're going to be suppressing more and going for accuracy a lot less - Which you seem to understand. Also be prepared to be hated by the enemy, and financially in ruins because of BB's and breakages 😂

Aye. That was a point I bought up a little while ago, a guy was talking about the “slaughter of civilians by Russians” on the Airsoft subreddit because a dude posted a pic and he was in an EMR get up. They used the point that it was “wrong to glorify invaders causing war”, I mentioned how many people use GWOT kits and never get hated on. War is bad (Obviously) but it’s Airsoft. Most of us wear kit because it looks cool, not because of what it represents if that makes sense That being said, I wouldn’t mind some short shorts for the summer 🤣 -

I have the same conversation with a lot of online redditors regarding RUSFOR kit. People jump on the Airsofters for wearing certain kit, like wearing EMR for example means you’re actively supporting what’s going on in Ukraine. Adding politics to a certain kit/camouflage is less than ideal. I used to wear a Heer kit when me and my friend ran as a 2 Man MG-42 team but we definitely don’t agree with what happened during the 40’s. Same as how I tend to wear an EMR uniform (No ribbons etc), it doesn’t automatically make me support Putin and the invasion of Ukraine 😂 -
Didn’t know the A2 had picatinny rails 😳
