  1. I wouldn't trust any retailer website that doesn't give their address and a contact number, let alone one that wants nearly a grand off me. In the UK, businesses are legally required to show an address on their website if they are selling goods or services. For limited companies it must be the company registered address. For sole traders it's a bit more woolly and I believe they can get get away with a PO Box for example, but I'm not sure I'd chuck money at a company that only uses a PO Box address. I would have thought there would be similar laws in the US?
  2. To be fair to the retailer they did chrono them first. One of them was very hot so they swapped it out with the other spring that came with it (which I think is a M90). The other one was only just over 350fps/0.2gBB so they let that slide. I put M100s in and they’re now both around 345fps.
  3. Did you not have to change the springs? I just got hold of 2 new ones and both the stock springs were a bit hot. The extra spring they include was a bit low so I bought a couple of M100s and they’re perfect now. At least the quick change spring functionality made it dead easy to swap them out.
  4. That’s very nice indeed. What does the Taiwanese writing say on the stock and the engraving on the receiver?
  5. I reckon I’d be better at shooting the fish than trying to catch them with a rod!
  6. Carrying RIFs in a fishing rod bag with an old fishing rod poking out the top would make it very inconspicuous 😆
  7. I’ve never transported RIFs within the UK in hard cases with locks in 17 years. Just in soft gun bags. I’m not aware of any laws in the UK that require them to be carried in locked hard cases. They just need to be kept out of sight (plus a good reason for carrying them). If it’s just the gearbox I guess carried out of sight will be sufficient. Or does the OP mean travelling between countries?
  8. You don’t need to pay through your PayPal account necessarily. If the merchant accepts credit/debit cards you can do a chargeback through the card issuer. If a single item you are purchasing is over £100 it’s better to use a credit card as you get the additional protection of Section 75. In this case it’s better to NOT go through your PayPal account as it can invalidate the use of Section 75. This explains it better than I can - https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/credit-cards/PayPal-Section75/
  9. Can you do a chargeback through your card issuer, assuming you paid by credit/debit card?
  10. Not sure this is in the spirit of the thread but it made me laugh. Do you reckon they’re level 4 plates?!
  11. Oh wow, that’s nice! I’m very tempted now.
  12. I had one of the original JG G36Cs back in 2000andsomething. What’s that, a 250mm inner barrel? The range and accuracy was insane. There just seemed to be a sweet spot with the overall set up of a lot of those back then.
  13. Hello! New to this forum but not to airsoft. First played 17 years ago and then regularly up until around 5 or 6 years ago. My youngest son has just got into it so I recently dusted off all the old kit. Fixed up my old CYMA M14 which is still reaching ridiculous ranges even with the loss of a few fps. That was a good purchase, I think I only paid about £90 for it back in the day! I've enjoyed the couple of games we've been to so far, I just don't move as fast as I used to. I look forward to participating in the forum.
