Married father of 5, living in Sussex.

Mechanic by trade, completed my apprenticeship at an automotive research and development company, primarily in the engine shop and workshop floor in the motorsport and special vehicles division, but we got all the exciting stuff the general road vehicle division didn't do. I've also worked extensively on plant and agricultural machinery and equipment, accident and breakdown and currently taking things easy after 20 years of 70-110hr weeks, as a mobile engineer for mainly lease companies at 37.5hr week. No, I don't do private work.

When time allows between work and family, I try to enjoy my hobbies, as listed elsewhere on my profile, thankfully, I have exclusive access to an 8.5 acre woodland, pretty much in the middle of nowhere in Sussex, with no phone signal, where I can do airgun coaching and other playing with airguns and airsoft, camping or just getting away from the world to recharge. 4x4 driving is either green lanes (byways open to all traffic) and 4x4 pay and play sites. Fishing is mainly at the beach, as all local lakes are members only or day ticket, same with canals and rivers, so gets expensive and I can catch exactly the same fish and good double figure carp in the river at the bottom of my parents garden. At least beach fishing allows me to take home fish if they're over minimum size for the table. As an amateur radio licence holder, I've had general chats about all and nothing with other radio operators around the world and competed in contests, with points for number of contacts and distance, which can be quite fast paced, depending on the contest. I've got a radio in my car, often carry an dual band handheld radio and have a radio station set up at home (although currently got to find new home for it since redecorating and losing my area).
